Not the color I wanted and expectedThe online experience was fine (up to a point, see below). The product was beautifully packaged. My hair felt good afterward - texture, coverage was good. But the color itself wasn't the rich, vibrant red I had wanted and expected. I think if I could have talked live with a colorist it would have been better. Communication is poorMy first color for my roots was way too light, so now my roots are much lighter than my prior color which looks odd. I requested a darker color for my next order and emailed several questions. I do not know how much darker my color should be. Although the site says we can have a personal consult, I see no way to arrange this. I never received a confirmation of my order (but then found on the web site that it had been placed -- but I would prefer to discuss how dark the color should be and not experiment). I have never received a response to any of my questions and no one has contacted me. Last, I have very dry, curly hair and prefer to use my own products to shampoo and detangle. Hair colorI received the color and di my hair last night. I specifically said I did not want my hair to turn any kind of red, Its red not a dark red buts red. I had no blonde hair, I didnt want my hair to be that dark either. So please cancel my subscription. Go with a drugstore dye, will do betterI was thoroughly disappointed with the eSalon experience. Everything came in pretty packaging and had my hopes up. I followed the instructions to dye my hair immediately. The dye did turn a pretty auburn/purple, the color I expected. The smell was very strong, gave me a headache. After I was done and washed everything off, all the color washed off! After I dried my hair, there was no hint of "dark brown purple pearl" or whatever. If anything my brown hair was a lighter shade of brown, which is probably just damage from the chemicals. The color didn't stay but the odor did! I kept getting headaches every time I washed my hair and the smell would come out more pungently for the next few days! What's more frustrating is that even though I saw no change in color that I wanted, my pillowcases got stained and my entire bedset is now ruined! I wanted to do something fun with my hair while stuck in quarantine and instead of going with a generic drugstore brand, I tried to play it safe with eSalon. I ended up burning my hair, a three day headache, and stained sheets which costs hundreds of dollars! High hopes, sorrowfully disappointedI was really looking forward to this product. I was so happy when it came and couldn’t wait to try coloring my hair for the first time. It didn’t change my hair color at all. I followed all the instructions but after applying all over my head, waiting 30 minutes, blending, and washing everything out, and drying my hair, nothing happened. Same color before and after, absolutely no change. Very upsetting waste of time and I hope I can get my money back.
