Yes it can sort of do the job but usually you spray too much and doesn't look right. It is also transferable. If you touch where you sprayed then you come back with a colored hand.

Love the idea, color, and staying power. Cons: really hard to avoid the scalp along the part. I'll keep looking for a tool to cover the exposed scalp. The Camo wand worked much better for me but it is no longer available in my color.

This product is OK. The Loreal root spray is much more effective and can be purchased anywhere (versus having to purchase online). There is nothing special about this at all.

For me and my hair type this product was a waste of my money. I have extremely thin, fine hair and my scalp shows through my hair. I thought it would cover my scalp as well as my roots. However, I had to use so much to accomplish, this my hair looked fake. It only lasted two uses for me.

I still haven't received my order--I'm desperate as I'm about to go to a wedding and this is now 11 days post-ordering and still nothing. I just called and was informed that adding Camo Mist to your order adds another three days to the processing time. Super frustrating for a last-minute add on that I thought I would try--I'm truly kicking myself for it now. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would really appreciate this extra delay being flagged and highlighted before ordering.

I have ordered Cami Mist twice now. I am disappointed in the results. I ordered a second one to see if I could get better results with practice. I am unable to get an even or natural look. The gray still shows after using Cami Mist. I will not order this again but love most of the other products I have ordered through eSalon.

I wouldn't buy this again personally. It is very difficult to control where it goes and the smell is very strong and not pleasant. I think people standing next to you could probably smell it if you had just put it on. The only plus it has is it does cover well if you can aim it where you need it.

This camo mist works like it says. I guess it's just not my thing. You have to be careful to not spray it anywhere but on the gray. If you have a big event coming up and you want it for temples or part, I say go for it, but in everyday life, I'm not a fan. I suggest doing touch ups more often.

Please consider redoing this like Age Beautiful's version instead - the lighter dispersed spray makes it much easier to look natural than a strong concentrated spray. The colors at the roots should be softer muted tones to work with gray or fading color hair.

Not for me

Made several attempts to make this work. Shook can several times then sprayed. Nothing, then shook again and a splat of dark color came out. Immediately tried it on another area, no color. Just aerosol spray. Each time I got one splat of color. It required shaking the can for each spray before color would come out. I tried 5 times before giving up. There was no even distribution of color when spraying.

The camp mist does not match my hair color at all! I’d rather leave the gray than spray this on my roots between colorings. Highly disappointed and stuck with a few vials that were part of the auto ship program.

The coverage is good but despite it being a narrow nozzle, it is hard to aim without getting color on my skin. When I use it on my part area it's great. But to cover gray near my face, I prefer the wand version.

You know that hairspray you use to color your kid's hair for Halloween? That's exactly what this is, just in more tame colors. It leaves your hair sticky and fake looking, just like the other stuff. The only improvement is that the smell of the Camo Mist isn't terrible. And Heaven forbid you try to camo those little stubborn greys near your face! You end up with overspray that looks like some unfortunate birthmark. It reminds me of that infomercial stuff they used to sell to cover bald spots.

I use the Camo Mist for touch ups between coloring and because the root wand was discontinued in dark blonde. Camo Mist works but I don't like the smell at all or the feeling of spraying propellant on my head. It literally feels like I'm using a small paint can of spray and is heavy on my hair. But like I said it does cover the gray and I don't want to color overall more often so will continue to use it.

Splotchy Coverage

I was going to order another bottle of the Camo Mist thinking I just wasn't applying the spray correctly. Then I read the reviews of others and learned it wasn't just me. My hair is thin so therefore my part and crown are quite obvious. To avoid overspray to my counter, clothes and hands I probably spray too close. But then it leaves huge splotches where I sprayed. I quickly rub it around with my finger to disperse the dark circles, but alas, no success, just messy fingers. If this is actually read by a person and not an auto-generated reply, may I make a few suggestions? The cost is ridiculously high for the number of sprays one gets, so improve the product, listen to your customers. Perhaps offer a pump spray. Include a clear face shield so one can see where they are spraying while shielding around the hairline and ears. Match the color better to the actual hair dye. Include instructions (and brush) on how to move it around with a brush as some people had suggested (I've never tried this method). Lastly, let people know if these suggestions ever make it to market. Sales will increase! Pro: I do love the actual hair dye and the color it produces.

I really didn't like this product. It made more of a mess than helpful. I guess if your gray was on top of your head it might work. But for me my gray starts next to my ears so it goes everywhere but where I need it. I bought the wand cover but haven't tried although it looks like much easier to apply.

The light brunette color blends well with my hair but it doesn’t cover well at all-have to spray twice and again basically every day and even then it looks lighter than the rest of my hair. Disappointed in this product. The over the counter product I was using was a bit dark but lasts very well between shampoos so will keep using that.

Did not like this at all - typical cover up sprays are dry and powdery- this one is very greasy, it didnt cover my grays well at all. plus it took 3 shampoos to get it all out. My hair felt terrible after using it. I thought maybe I didnt shake it enough or used it wrong but because I paid for it,I would try it again but the same results. Save your money

Waste of time and money. Tried to use and the smell is horrible. Doesn't aim well so parts of my hair (roots) were not covered at all and other areas were very wet. When wet the hair was jet black (supposed to be brown) which made the gray stand out horribly. Forced myself to wait but still ended up having to shower to try to get it out of my hair. Now I just look like I have patches of gray and patches of darker hair.

I have used the light brown Camo Mist when my hair was a little darker. I was sent two bottles of the medium/dark blonde in my last shipment and will not be using them. The color does not cover any of my gray hairs which is the whole purpose I use this product.

This spray did not cover my roots whatsoever, no matter how much I sprayed on, in fact it made my hair actually look dirty, which it wasn’t, I had to wash it off. I’m sorry for wasting my money on this root cover.

I like the way this covers up my gray streaks in noticeable places like my part. Only downside is it does cause my scalp to itch so I have to wash my hair more often.
