Being a mom, nothing is ever JUST for me...until this wonderful package arrived!First off, I honestly have no idea how I found out about this. I was on my phone on Facebook or instagram( or maybe Snapchat...? Idk.) and came across it and instantly fell in love. Read pages of reviews.. next day, my order was in! I got so excited when I read the email late that night saying my package was delivered into my mailbox earlier! So I ran to the mailbox in the dark. Obviously I was beyond happy to receive something that was literally JUST FOR ME! I had to wait a few days to actually dye my hair since I just straightened it the night before I received my product. Overall, the process was fairly easy. I only had to use one item that was not in the package, a plastic bowl to do the "dip and apply". Thanks to the protectant for my skin, I did not have to scrub like crazy to get any dye off my Face or neck. It wiped off like butter! Although my legs somehow are covered in dye splatter. But as I began to rinse and wash, I felt my hair getting thicker! There was this super thick/gross/slimy residue that was ALLLLL over. I couldn't get it out of my hair after trying so hard to scrub it out. Eventually, I gave up and squeezed in the provided shampoo which calmed me down a great bit!! I had to use my own shampoo since I didn't feel like there was enough in the packet to get all of the goo out. It definitely was gunk-free after just one round of shampooing! The conditioner made my hair so silky smooth (also used my own along with this) and feeling amazing! I cleaned my bathtub of all the splashed gunky stuff while I let the conditioner do its magic for about 3 minutes. Once completely rinsed, blow dried and straightened, I was just a bit sad when I saw the final product. I really expected my hair to turn out a bit more purple/red than brown. If you look reallll close you can maybe tell that there's a light splash of color in there but it's a lot more brown than expected. Amazing!I tried this company after someone suggested it to me. My previous hair dye job from the salon was .... let's just say I wasnt pleased with it- even after with two corrections. I had four different ashy colors in my hair and I looked so dull. I didn't want to have to pay over two hundred dollars again just for my hair to be messed up. So after esalon was suggested to me, I filled out the questionnaire and uploaded a picture. I made a note to the colorist that I didn't want any red tones in the natural light golden brown I chose. Two days later my box arrived. Not to sound cheesy but after seeing the personalization of the contents, it makes you feel special. I received two bottle (cause I have long, thick hair), the gloves, shampoo, condition packects, two sets of gloves, stain preventer and remover packets and a brush. I followed the directions given and rinsed after the timer went off. Since I went darker, it took a bit to rinse the dye out. I let my hair dye naturally and noticed it felt healthy and full again. The color... it's beautiful. Dare I even say, natural looking? It's exactly what I wanted even though it came out a little bit darker (I knew Demi dye did that) but it put some pop back into my complexion!!! So, in conclusion, I'm impressed. Esalon will now be my go to place for hair coloring. If I even chose to go back to blonde, I'm hoping they add a highlight kit to their line. Thank you esalon and a huge thank you to my colorist!!
