Too darkI was hoping that after talking through the first custom color the next order would be a little lighter. I really liked the shade of the second bottle in the first order. Color to brassyI was so looking forward to getting a nice, rich, all over color using the esalon formulated hair color. But this was not the case. MehThe instructions were very clear and the application went fine, but the color is nothing like I wanted or like the picture looked. The color I got was supposed to be a violet/ash brown color, but it turned out just plain golden brown like my hair always looks. Give it a tryI've tried most every brand of hair color that I've been aware of. I do like this one the best of all. It isn't drying and the color isn't flat but comes out looking like natural color. I'm 80 years old and don't want to look like a fake doll...this color is believable and leaves my hair looking alive. Love my eSalon stylistMy first order was perfect in every way ~~ except my friends and I all agreed the big change was not me. So I called for help and my stylist took plenty of time to hear my ideas and then worked on a better shade. I liked it much better and now my next order has the fine tuning that was expected. My 5 star rating is based on the flexibility of the program, the stylists, and the super quality of the color. Its saving me > $100/monthYes, that's right! 5 months ago, my stylist informed me that "she got a raise" - she explained, that I would pay my normal fee of $130 this time but next time it would cost me $147 - tack on a $10 tip and it will now cost me $157 ------- I have my hair done every 5 weeks!!! I'm done!!! I saw an add for esalon and decided to try it. O_M_G! The color was perfect, instructions were easy to follow, the kit included gloves, shampoo, conditioner, and wipes to prevent/remove color on the skin during application. All for $20 and an hour of my time. With my savings, I ordered additional items to aid in application: mixing bowl, brush, cape.
