Excellent results on dreadlocks!Having to use 2 boxes of over-the-counter coloring kits in the past, I had reservations about the amount of product in the Custom Hair Color kit being sufficient to color all of my very thickly rooted dreadlocks. My concerns were in vain. The initial Custom Hair Color kit included a color bottle specifically for my thick roots, another for my locks, shampoo, conditioner and was more than adequate; covered my dreadlocks with great results. The subsequent Custom Hair Color kit containing 1 color bottle, was also quite enough to refresh my roots. The results? I can actually run my fingers through my hair and feel nothing but soft, bouncy, healthy locks - no tangled roots! My hair has a healthy shine, great evenly toned reddish-brown color, and firm, tight bouncing and behaving locks! I'm not sure if it's solely the custom color, shampoo, conditioner or a combination of all products in the kit that gave me this incredible shiny-softness; never experienced my dreaded hair like this with the OTC coloring kits. Colorist, "it's NOT our fault you didn't follow directions..."My hair is dark brown...not reddish as I requested. Then I am insulted by being told I did not follow instructions, so my hair color is MY fault...granted IT WAS perfect last time. I am VERY disappointed in how I HATE my new color and being INSULTED that i'm stupid and can't follow instructions. I do have 2 BA's and know what I am doing. Pleasantly surprised!I have been coloring my hair for almost twenty years. I only let the salon professionals handle the serious lightening jobs (I change my color quite often). And while this product is more expensive than the box colors, it’s totally worth it. No surprises. No funky colors. Just perfection. My biggest surprise was how the color blended my roots and ends seamlessly! I will definitely continue ordering from these guys (until I decide to lighten again). Always perfectI love the custom hair color. I use to use grocery store box color. I loved it also. I used L’Oréal Féria. I got a great auburn color and got lots of compliments. But after while I couldn’t understand why my hair was so frizzy and unmanageable. So I tried esalon and I was impressed with the first color. My hair started behaving instantly. So I now color with them every 6 weeks and treat my hair with sulfate free products. I only pay a few extra dollars than I did with the L’Oréal boxed color.
