Easy to useThe entire process was easy to use with clear directions. My daughter applied the color for me and it turned out beautifully. I’ve had it in for 3 weeks now. I have hard-to-color grays so I’ve been watching carefully. While the color is still vibrant, I can see a few stubborn grays whose color appears to have slid off, but overall I’m loving my color. Custom hair colorMy grey roots are fully covered and the custom color looks great. My hair is shiny and the darker color from another product looks a little lighter as I wanted. At my age darker hair makes me appear hard. I'm not young so I wanted to look my age, but not fake. The custom color made just for me looks so good. Thank you so much. Didn't workI was so excited to try this . I got it today and went right in to use it. I don't even know if it dyed my hair. My roots are the exact same color as they were before. Store bought is betterThe color is good itself. However I do not like the thick residue that it leaves behind. I have had some serious problems with eSalon hair color.Both times that I tried eSalon hair dye (once in salon and once at home), the dye faded really quickly - within a week or two - and my hair became less manageable each time. I even bought and used only eSalon shampoo and conditioner for months, but I could barely run a brush through my hair at the roots after I showered. When I dyed my hair at home, I followed the instructions to a T, but manageability got worse after that application. I have since purchased other shampoo / conditioner products to try and remove the dye and help my hair become more manageable again... it is a slow process, and I've never had this much trouble with my hair in my life. I was greatly disappointed - I really hoped that eSalon would be the magical 'salon quality' product I was looking for, since I just don't have the time to sit for hours in a salon. Perfect Match!This is my first experience with eSalon. I submitted my requested color, and the Colorist (Paul) came back with a suggestion for a color that might be a better match. I took his suggestion and was glad I did. The result is PERFECT! I compared it with my prior professional salon applied color and the eSalon dye and it is virtually the same. Why did I ever spend so much?After years of getting color at the salon, I needed to cut back on expenses and decided to try eSalon. My color is gorgeous; it's just what I asked for, which is something close to my natural hair color that will cover greys and have some dimension. All of my friends whom I've told that I've switched from the salon to doing my hair at home are really impressed by the color. I recommend getting the starter kit with a first order because it's made my being able to do it myself much easier. My first time doing my roots was a little awkward, but now I've got it down pat.
