colorYou do a really nice job designing the colors, but I would have to say that the product itself does not cover the gray/silver good enough and it fades away too soon. First Time Coloring My Own Hair - Hair Color Was OkayI would give my experience a 7 or 8 out of 10. I loved the customer service and the application itself was easy to follow. I wish my color was a little more red like I wanted or that the color had taken to my hair a little better. I am not sure if the color not taking was my hair itself (I waited the appropriate time before moving onto next steps), since even when I go to a salon I have to wait extra time for color to take OR if the color not taking was user error since I have never self-dyed my hair and I may not have saturated as much as I thought I did. I also feel that the root color was too different from the ends color. I do plan to give this box another try in the near future and hopefully the next color will be a little more to my vision. Was darker than the picture i selectedI selected a color that had more red and gold tones to it but what i received was a more dark brown with a little red in it. So my hair didn't lighten nor did the dark color show up on my hair I feel i have wasted my money. Very happy!!I originally did an overall demi to allow my highlights (professional) to pop through the color, that worked! I now use a permeant on my roots for grey coverage, along with the eSalon Color Rinse for my highlights. The permeant was a perfect match to the demi color I originally used. I used pictures and a phone call with a colorist and felt so comfortable about switching from professional color to home color and the results are just as good, if not better. I get more compliments than ever before. The staff is very professional and I felt knew more about color than any stylist I've ever gone to. If you are on the fence, go for it! You will not be disappointed! ( Note: I use the color tools they sell for application. My original color I stared with was a professional brunette color and highlights, all had been bleached out by the summer sun. Natural hair color is dark ash. eSalon color is a medium/light Brunette. I Iove it!First, I love the way the kit came with everything I'd need in the neatly packed box. It was easy to use and the colour has come out beautifully! It looks very natural, with highs and lows in it. It's still a bit darker closer to my head but that makes it look natural. It will be interesting to see how it fades and grows out in the coming weeks. It did take quite a while to get to me in Canada, but it was also over the holidays so that might be why. I had to push off my next delivery but I do like how easy it is to customize the timing of the delivery. Oh and the shampoo/conditioner feels divine...I might buy more.
