I. Usually have a gold highlight added to my hair color!
First I would like to say, my base color of medium brown had such a richness to it! It was beautiful! The highlights were in a different bottle and liked to scare me to death! I switched from gold highlights to copper! Honey! The color I got was Pippi Longstocking! I have always been adventurous so I trusted the colorist and put it on! Holy Cow! It’s perfect! I love it! She knew what she was doing!

First off, packaging is lovely! It feels very special to receive a personalised box with everything in neat little packages and super clear, friendly instructions. I'd never dyed my hair myself so was very nervous, but this was super easy! The results were great- greys gone, natural brown but gorgeous tones and silky conditioned hair.

I contact my colourist and asked for a more burgundy tone rather than a mahogany tone, which is what I usually get, and the results were amazing! I am really happy with the colour change, slightly darker and slightly more burgundy. I highly recommend this company! It’s so easy!

I've been colouring my hair since I was a teen. Boxed colour and recently beauty supply colour. But I never could get the colour I really wanted.
My kit was very good, had everything I needed to do a complete job myself, and the shade is just what I wanted.
I'm hoping my brown will stay ashy and not turn reddish as time passes. I bought the red neutralizer treatment so I'll see if it keeps my brown fresh.

It was easy and fast to work with ESalon. They formulated just the right color for me, it came quickly and was easy to apply. I love the results. I may never go back to a salon for a color treatment again. I had been working with my hairdresser for a while trying to get the color just right. She tried hard but it was just not exactly the color I wanted. I was nervous about doing it myself but once it was done, the color was exactly what i had in mind. Everyone wanted to know where I bought it from and the color I’d chosen. It also has a look of natural highlights. So pretty. I absolutely LOVE it! I’m a huge fan.

I ordered the custom color because my grey hairs were driving me crazy! I needed something to tide me over while my normal stylist was off due to the covid pandemic. Overall I was extremely happy with the result, how detailed the instructions were and the coverage, hence the four star rating. I would have given the product five stars, but I still have some stubborn greys that it did not cover! Maybe after the next color they will be less noticeable as I will be using again! Good color match, exactly what I wanted!

The color I received was just what i was looking for. My grays have been hard to color with most hair dye, this worked perfectly. My hair is soft, healthy looking, and tangling much less than with the brand I used previously.

They listened to my feedback! I loved the warmer tone and the gray coverage was very good! This was only my second time dying my hair myself, and it was as easy as the first time. This time I tried just applying with the bottle instead of the brush - I recommend using the brush, it's not as messy.

I find that this color is just right and just like my salon color. Doing it myself is fairly simple. The instructions are easy to follow, and each delivery right on schedule. I once requested to change my color, and my colorist did so and before the next delivery. Great service!

I very hesitated to order the online color in the beginning but I decided to give a shot. I ordered a dark blond; it came out really nice not look dry. I am glad I got the color I love from esalon. I wanted a complete change of color after years with natural dark brown hair and blond highlights. I thought it brightened my face but was ready to go darker for a while. The instructions were helpful but I pulled the color through to the ends for the last 10 minutes then rinsed instead of 30 minutes just on the roots suggested in the instructions. I don't remember saying I only wanted the roots done. I think it came out pretty even but I might need some tweaking with the color. Easier than I thought though. Nicely packaged.

I joined Esalon last month, my first custom colour was a little too dark but the coverage was great. I asked for the colour to be brightened and the next order was just perfect.
I would highly reccomend.

Oh, I was so scared! A few days after opening my box. ( which was very nicely packed) I got to work. I was so nervous!
The following day I saw two friends. I asked them how they liked my hair. They said “ what do you mean?” I think that is the very best compliment. My hair looked like it always did!

I have loved using the esalon color kit. The color seems to hold much longer than a typical salon color and covers gray's beautifully.

After a goof-up (totally MY fault) getting my first shade right, my colorist, Freddie, gave me the closest color possible to my dream shade without needed to strip my current hair color. It was as simple as sending a message and a couple photos. The product is amazing, too! It doesn't stain your shower and rinsed from my hair more quickly and more completely than other brands I've tried. And the next time I showered, the water still ran clear, so no staining clothes or towels! It smells like regular drugstore hair color while you're putting it on and it has a lingering smell after you rinse and wash, but it's not terrible. And the smell is gone the next time you shampoo. I really love that I can get a salon-quality color AND talk to a real expert about things I want/don't want without having to go to a salon. When I reached out because I didn't like the first shade (which again was totally my fault for reading the chart wrong), my expert told me that the color I wanted was too light because I'd already dyed my hair and that the new color wouldn't lift the dye, just lay over it. But honestly, the shade I got the second time is MUCH better suited to my complexion and I LOVE it!! I've been dyeing my hair since I was 16 *cough 40 years cough* so I know my way around a box of dye. This by far has been the best home hair dyeing experience I've ever had. No more guess work picking shades as long as you listen to your colorist's suggestions and send some pictures for reference!

I am very happy with the color as it matches nicely with my in salon color. My hair seems shiny and healthy. I like the kit completeness with gloves and conditioner. I never tried the highlights because I thought it sounded like it might go brassy or red.

First time using esalon, and it has been great! The service was excellent and the hair color seems good. They suggested a semi permanent for me and it has faded a little bit, but it’s faded to a nice color. They are suggesting that I need color again already, but I think it’s holding so well that I’m going to wait a bit longer to reorder.

This was the first time I'd coloured my own hair. I was worried, but as we were in lockdown I thought I might as well give it a go and I'm glad I did. I thought the whole process from ordering to receiving the Custom Colour Set was excellent. 48 hrs before colouring my hair I performed a skin test and a strand test and I'm glad I did for peace of mind. My husband helped me with the back of my head - we did miss a few bits but the main parts - the parting and hair line were fine. My hair felt lovely afterwards, and we didn't make any mess.I'm going to go back to my hairdressers to help to support them after being closed for so long but if I don't like the 'new' way of doing things or the prices rocket I will definitely use again.

First-I made sure to send in a good pic of my hair and the color match was prefect!!!!! My old highlights were turning a little green so I also purchased the Tint Rinse and my hair came back to life!!! I use to pay $110 to get my hair done every month and the first purchase was only $10, I am saving so much money!! Love it!!!
Now of course I'm going to be really honest I didn't care for the shampoo or conditioner, it made my hair feel dry. Also I didn't receive the brush that I feel would have helped. Besides that I love this dye and I love my hair!!!

For background - my hair is naturally soft black and was heavily dyed/highlighted blonde/honey tones. In the process of going back to natural, I dyed my hair (not box formula) to a dark brown. After 8 weeks, it of coursed became brassy, so I wanted to try eSalon.
All in all, this kit is amazing. I loved the entire experience from beginning to end. I enjoyed taking the assessment. Its thoroughness gave me a sense of comfort that I would get the results I wanted. I received my order fairly quickly in the mail, even during the madness of covid. The personalization of the packaging is really cute, the instructions were perfect, the formula didn't have a strong smell, and I ultimately I love the color.
If I could give any feedback - I don't love the shampoo and conditioner. My hair was still stiff after washing, so I used my own sulfate free sh + c. I also found that my tub stained pretty quickly from washing so I recommend scrubbing it off ASAP (but I guess this is the case with all color products). Also a second pair of gloves would be helpful for the last part of the process, but that's me being nitpicky. I am interested to see how the color washes and lasts over the next few weeks to determine if I'd order again. But either way, I highly recommend it!
