Third time lucky! But unfortunately still not right!Its SUCH a shame. I LOVE receiving these boxes. The quality of the product is very high. My hair always feeling nourished and shiny and like i have had a salon treatment after use. The thing is though the colour. I have tried now three times and its just not right, if i were in the hairdressers it would be easier to have this rectified. I honestly wish it was right as i would be ordering every single month without fail! The first time i ordered it was very very ginger, closer to orange and the strand test (thank god for strand tests!) made me realise before i put it all over my hair. The second colour i ordered was very dark. I am still wondering if this was an error in production as it should NEVER have been as dark as it was, as after colouring it again with the third one i ordered i still have a darker ring around my head from the second attempt. Its such a shame as i love the product, its wonderful, if the colour had been what i wanted then i would be on that standing order without fail, and telling all my friends to do the same. The only thing stopping me is i havent got the colour i really wanted, and i do have a darker ring around my head from the previous colour. My esalon experienceThe product did not work good for me. Forget about ever talking to customer care about it too. You always get voicemail, and they only email you back, try to discuss your color through email, doesn’t work. Color didn't lastI colored my hair on 8/3/2020, today 8/17/20 my roots are visibly noticeable. I believe I did say I was 90% gray with short hair in the survey I stated I needed coverage for atleast 2 months. After I put the color on I was very pleased with the saturation. Product left my hair feeling dry and damagedI really dislike this product. The harsh chemical scent was horrible. It was not the relaxing spa-like experience I envisioned after looking at the commercials. I felt that once my hair was dry it was brittle and very hard to manage. Since using the product I've used several deep conditioners as well as coconut oil and shea butter to put moisture back into my hair. Product never arrivesIt takes 4-5 weeks to receive an order, if it even ever arrives. The service team is literally no help. My last order never arrived at all and service says they can not even track it. I color my hair every 2-3 weeks which is impossible w/ the delivery issues. Just not for me.My hair pulls red. Knowing this I ordered a dark ash blonde thinking it looked on the cooler side of things. It pulled red. I called and explained. They sent a mask and a color specifically design cool for me. I was instructed to wait 3 weeks and recolor. The second batch, again, pulled red. Called again and was told to make a salon appointment for corrective color because, "all of our colors are warm". Did not cover graysLet me start by saying I really like the overall color I received. Instructions were easy to follow, I have a short bob at the moment as I am growing out a pixie so a do it yourself color was not difficult. I have a small amount of grays up front and along my part and the color did not cover the grays at all. I am very disappointed. Color & Tint RinseEsalon Color Team was spot on in getting my color correct but the product made my scalp itch & broke my hair. To be fair, my stylist also had trouble with products. She had to try several before she found one I could tolerate. Now that the quarantine has lifted I’m going back to my stylist for a good cut, hair Conditioner treatment & her artsy way of coloring. She doesn’t just put color on but adds different colors like golds & coppers on individual strands. It comes out beautiful & I would have to buy several different kits to do what she did, if I could do it Evenly. So eSalon if your product didn’t itch or break my hair, I might stay with you But I also like all the “tricks“ my stylist does to add shine & pizazz to my hair. color change?I wasn't sure about the color since it turned purplish as I was applying it this time?! I was worried I was going to have a purple tint! It didn't cover/last as long as the first time I used your product, unfortunately, so I don't know if it's because I requested a slightly lighter color? My sparkles appeared much sooner and this color seemed to fade much quicker. This is only the second time trying your product so I feel like I need to try one more time. Updated reviewJust received my first kit and tried it out.... I was very hesitant because I hadn’t had my hair colored in years and have never done it myself. I LOVE it!! I hope it stays this way..... so soft and shiny and the color is perfect. Fingers crossed..... update- received second kit and it’s been a total disaster! My hair is beyond brittle and dull and now I lose color every time I shampoo..... even though I am using the same eSalon shampoo and conditioner as before. First time usingPretty disappointed. After dying my hair, color was basically the same as what it was before but darker which I didn’t want. Sent a photo of the color I wanted In the instructions and the result didn’t have the shade or pop I was looking for. Could've done a better job with products from Sally’s beauty. Doesn’t cover my graysI used this dye as instructed and several days later my grays were visible. After 2 weeks i have to redo my roots. Not Enough ProductWe used the bowl and brush to apply the color to my hair and we ran out before the last section so part of my hair didn't get dyed. I am quite irritated and don't recommend using them. They're supposed to provide enough product to color your hair. It made my hair darkerI was SUPER excited to try this that I bought the express shipping and checked on the order daily. I did all my research and watched review videos from actual hair stylists, and from everyday people who have used this product. Looked at all the how to’s from the company and TOTALLY prepared myself. Unfortunately, even with all that I’m disappointed. I did my hair profile and since I already “had” blonde highlights I thought it would be easy to go over again and lighten up. Because of covid and just life I haven’t gotten my hair done since November so even though I have blonde in my hair, it’s filled out a little. When I used this product it actually made my hair darker in the spots the blonde was. It also stained my towel and t shirt brown so I’m not sure if it was a wrong color issue or if the color they provided just didn’t work with my hair... when the product was in my hair it smelled REALLY strong so I can’t imagine it not working. But when I saw everything it touched turn brown I knew right away it probably wasn’t going to do much to the highlights I had in my hair. I’m really upset I spent so much money on a product I thought was safer to use and more responsible since I can’t go to the salon right during this time. I even wanted to sign up for auto shipments but something in the back of my mind told me to wait. I’m just really upset because I spent a lot of time trying to find the best way to color my hair without damaging it with drug store box dye and now I’m left with a worse outcome than i started with. I wanted to LOVE this product as it’s affordable and they make it easy to follow along and watch videos if it’s your first time doing your hair yourself, I really thought I found gold in this!! Color caused hair loss and dry hairI was excited to color my hair and cover up my grays. However, now I'm wishing that I had not. The first thing I noticed as I was massaging after the 30-minute wait, was the enormous amount of hair that was falling out. This was way more than usual. Second, my hair is very dry and knotty. I did not like colorI requested a shade of red and you guys sent me a dark blond with brown Shades in it or whatever. but it wasn't a red shade at all. New Improved Scalp Clearing is very Good BUT hair loss increase BadThe new formula (from last two shipments) is a clear improvement in terms of ease of application and removal but I experienced significant hair breakage and hair loss both times. I happen to have lots and lots of hair, it's fine and very porous and curly so it would be awhile before it would cause me serious grief but not sure how long I want to continue since it seems unhealthy. Gray coverage just okayThis time around the color was much closer to what I was looking for. I just wish that my colorist had listened a bit more to what I was looking for the first time. I think that the pics may not have been taken into consideration and would rather have had the option to talk to my colorist on the phone to accurately describe what I was looking for. To just touch up my roots the one bottle seems to be okay but when I got my first color for my entire head 2 bottles was not enough. Didn't cover my gray. Very disappointed!I followed all of your instructions very carefully and the results were poor. Your product costs more than 3X what I paid for another popular brand purchased from my drugstore, and that product worked much better. I would like to cancel my future orders.
