Love the color but it fadesI loved this color when I first put it in. It had just the right amount of purple shade that I wanted. But the color faded out within 2-3 weeks and was just back to my original shade of reddish brown. I waited to try again with my second order before I wrote my review but that color faded after just a few weeks too. I will never use this product again.My hair before using this product was lustrous, shiny, and healthy. I wanted a product that covered my grays and kept my healthy hair. This product did not satisfy me. It dulled my hair. It made my hair brittle and dry. IT DID NOT COVER MY GRAYS!! I would like my money back and cancel my account! This product damaged my hair...it will take months before the damages are grown out. I will definitely let everyone I know as well as the internet know about your terrible product. I am an educator and a perfectionist. I followed the directions perfectly. Wish I hadn't used it..used to love my hair colour now not so muchBad points: even though I've posted my picture and explained in my notes what colour I wanted to achieve (basically keep the one I already have) , I still ended up with dark roots I'm devastated. I understand that the actual colour depends on many factors but I used other hair dyes in the past and never had any problem. I used to have nice golden/copper hair and now my roots are very dull. Sadly, I need to use colour hair remover asap :( Shame about the money and time spent, and damaging my hair unnecessarily. Good points: arrived quickly, great packaging, clear instructions, covers grey hair, hair feels in a good condition. UnhappyI have brown hair and requested a dark ash blonde colour, purchased home dye kit and purple shampoo. The instructions told me to apply to the roots first, leave to process for 25 minutes and then apply to the ends for 5 minutes. I was highly skeptical as I know that the roots process much faster than the ends but against my better judgement I decided to listen to the colourist’s advice. As I suspected, my roots have now lightened to a hideous red colour which is completely different from the ash tone I requested and the ends are untouched. Have contacted customer service but haven’t had a response yet. Wrong colourSadly I now look like I've got cherry red roots and ginger locks. It looked a different colour when I mixed it but I trusted it to be okay. I ordered on line thinking it was Madison Reed but when it came in it was not.I just thought it was a corporate umbrella. I called M Reed only to find out that it was a different company. eSalon also put me on an automatic monthly shipping plan when I specifically said it was a trial. The product was ok. Not as good as Madison Reed which I have since used. I will see if eSalon will refund my automatic monthly shipment. I feel that I was conned. I called the 800 number on eSalon's site. Very disappointedI followed the directions. I mentioned that I have some gray hair. This color was put on a few weeks ago. The minutes I rinsed it out I could still see all the gray hair. After I blow dried my hair, it looked darker except for all the grays. 3 weeks later the darker color is completely faded. I only wash every 2-3 days. I am so disappointed, A waste of my money. Color was not as described. Received the 2nd color shipment. I added more comments and discussed my concerns about the 1st shipment. Well, I'm officially done. Would put zero if i couldOrdered my colour different colour arrived but thought 8 would try it. Vibrant red well I now have purple hair. Contacted the colourist who.insists I ordered this colour so should be vibrant red but it is purple and they don't give a damn. Waste of money - should've stuck with L'Oréal!Colour was a terrible mousy brown with brassy tone instead of the cool medium blonde with pearl tone that it was meant to be. Had fix it with L'Oréal cool tone colour which did a brilliant job and gave me the cool ash tone I wanted, clearly something esalon couldn't deliver and why I will be sticking with L'Oréal as I should've done in the first place. DisappointingNot the vibrant copper I had hoped for, and further faded after a few washes. The packaging suggested part of the colour was a free gift, which is wrong as I paid for all over colour. Not impressedThe smell of the dye is very strong. I opted for medium ash brown and the colour ended up being too light and too red. It covered the greys for about 2 weeks and then the colour washed off. I will not repurchase as it is nothing special for the high price. Don’t use Demi permanent if trying to grow out grey hair!I decided to grow out my grey hair last spring. My last permanent color was May 1. After 5.5 months of zero color, I consulted esalon about using demi permanent color to help with the demarcation line. I used their product 3 times with the last color 4 months ago. I wash my hair every other day and the color is very much still there even though I’ve washed it roughly 60 times. They said it would wash out completely around 24-28 washes. I am so disappointed that I have lost months of growing out my grey hair. I highly advise against using their demi color if you are trying to grow out your grey hair! Also, why is there no search option in the reviews? How can anyone find anything in over 50,000 reviews? Color was not at all what I expected; ended up multi-colored.After my last two colors, which weren't what I was hoping for (first one didn't cover gray at all. I was told it was because it wasn't permanent, so they changed it for the second coloring). This time around, I told them I still needed more gray coverage and that I didn't want the color to be so dark. I got my color and the directions had one color for the roots, which I did, and another color to be applied just below the root line - where I'd applied the root color - and spread throughout the rest of my hair. I followed the directions to a T, wanting to finally have the color I was hoping for. It is SO BAD. The color is not only still just as dark, it now has an orange tinge to it, especially in sunlight. Also, because of the two different colors for roots and the rest of my hair, there is a distinct line where you can see two obviously different colors. I wear a hat almost every time I'm outside now. All I can say is, thank goodness I'm now vaccinated so I can go to my stylist and pay her to fix this. Definitley dark blonde not medium blondeAverage colour. Very even tonal finish. Roots nearest scalp are a bit too warm. Overall colour too dark. A medium ash blonde....looks far more like a dark ash blonde. Which is a shame, because that's a colour thts very blah. Love the process, don't love the colorWhen my color set arrived, I loved using the product. I thought it was adorable and easy to do. Custom color setI talked to Brianna and told her I wanted a color that they had on their website of a woman pictured. So she asked me to post that picture and to post my picture now currently, I had already posted a picture pre Covid. She said once those were posted she would get my color going and send it out. I was under the impression that she was looking for the pictures and that that would be done. I guess that wasn’t the case. I waited and waited and nothing was done so I called back in and got Pam. She said she was also a colorist. Trying to explain the situation she said she could help, so I trusted her. She said that they would expedite shipping and they did which was great. The colorist ended up being someone else and I didn’t get the color I asked for. I saw that it was medium blonde, I am not medium blonde but then it had extra chemicals that they hadMixed in so I trusted them. You can’t tell until it’s done. I’m a medium blonde now. If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. 3 strikes your out....I should’ve taken the refund...After having the color adjusted, my hair still isn’t black, just an ugly brownish red. Either the product is defective, the color combination is extremely off, or you don’t sell black hair dye.
