The color was a bit darker than expected but it did cover the gray where I applied it correctly.
I thought I would receive the golden highlight set as well but it wasn't included and I'm not sure if on purpose.
I did meantime, order another products to bring out the gold tones and I add a ballayage set to my next order thinking that's what I need to lighten the lower part of my hair vs the roots. Perhaps I need to speak to someone to be clearer. But I'm now on jury duty so it must wait a couple of weeks. Thanks.

Yes, it go delivered in less than a week. And yes i love that every bottle had my name on it. But, they don’t tell you that everything you need to get your custom color, cost EXTRA money. I bought the color i wanted. I wanted to go from dark brown, to light ash brown….. the hair dye made my hair look DARKER. I asked my friends and family and they all agreed with me. I really wanted to try to since they said it’s better quality than the box hair dyes. Yes, it’s prettier and more custom. But the color is the same as a box…. Shows one picture but when you dye your hair it doesn’t come out like the picture…. So then i looked around the website and i needed to buy lighter to lighten my hair…. And then i wanted highlights….. ALL those were additional charges that was not made clear. I’m just going to go to Sally’s. Or buy box hair dye.

I really love the concept of getting my own custom color for less, but I have a sensitive scalp and I guess this just didn’t work for me. Color also came out lighter and brassier than I expected. My hair does feel healthy and soft.

I"m a flight attendant and I'm on the road constantly. So last week, I decided to color my hair. I took out my box and I saw where is leaked into the box. I honestly thought something else spilled on it. I mixed it as I usually do and started to sectioning off my hair. When I was going to start the color, the bottle was extremely warm to the touch. I have had that happen only once before. I threw the bottle away and I would like to have a replacement delivered along with my normal shipment.

I was shocked by the state of my latest shipment. I am a long-time customer and I’ve never received a color set like this one. Even during the pandemic, the kit wasn’t like this. If I had been a new customer, I would not have trusted the quality and would not have used the product. The box was beaten up and partially open. I realize this was a mail issue, but inside wasn’t any better. There was not the usual packaging. The items were crammed in and only the developer and color were in a partial shaped cardboard piece. The developer was missing the little cap, and it was some random shampoo and conditioner, not Esalon. It just looked messy and unprofessional. I’ll give it another try, but if next month my kit looks like this again, I will be cancelling my subscription.

My hair colour didn’t change. I have dark brown hair. I selected medium brown mahogany copper. My hair colour didn’t change. Maybe the slightist bit copper when the light shines, but that’s even a long shot. My hair is still dark brown and doesn’t look different honestly. I studied hairdressing, so the fact the developer is only 20 vol is concerning as I learned 20 vol only changes tone, it doesn’t lift hair colour (go up a shade). . So yeah. Confused.com

I’m so extremely disappointed. Ignoring such a late wait time ( website states AU at the end and shipping time was nothing like on the website)
Texture of the dye it weird, kind of like oil not cream, made my hair so freaking dry and horrible to touch. I wasn’t able to brush them for over a week which made then snap
Also I ordered a demi permanent colour which came with 10% developer (I found it high but im not a hairdresser) and trusted you guys. Its a permanent hair dye!!!! That I was avoiding for years. You ruined 7years of me growing my hair back. Now I have horrible line and regrowth which I have never got before from demo permanent. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Destroyed my hair. (My friend who is a hairdresser confirmed that the texture of it it’s horrible and was surprised how bad my hair got afterwards)

I was charged and sent another box of color that I did not order or want. I have requested 4 times to return and get my money back. To date I still have not heard back from them. I suggest you don't do business with this company. The prices are also high for what you get.

It's a gorgeous coppery brown but it didn't color my greys. They're still very visible. I thought I left a note in my order saying that I needed a stronger developer but I got 15vol anyway. 😞

I followed every step and it is not at all "darkest brown" and there's definitely no violet to it. Back to store bought color for me. Very unhappy!

I followed instructions to a "t." I'm not a newb here, I'm 47 and basically full gray coming in. I was so disappointed when I got out of the shower and my roots were light pink at best. Either the timing was off or the formula is off or something because it didn't take. I saturated them too. So now I'm burning my scalp a little because I have to get my roots covered for an event tomorrow.

Sorry to say as the 1st order it was great and was the colour i wanted but for some reason It looks nothing like the colour i wanted and it didn't do the colour! My hair looks the same but maybe darker? Not satisfied at all ;( i was so looking forward to the mahogany to be thier :(

So…my color was supposedly adjusted after I wrote in stating that my grays (new growth) needed better coverage. After receiving my new order I found that the coverage is LESS than the first time before the adjustment.

I have been using eSalon's hair dyes since lockdown and was originally very happy. The last couple of shipments of my custom colour have caused me to have an allergic reaction. Initially like contact dermatitis - itching, flaking and sore around my scalp and ears. This time, my forehead is completely swollen and I am in a lot of pain. This didnt happen before and I dont know if the product has changed or my sensitivity has, but I would avoid without doing a full test beforehand.

I followed the instructions exactly but was disappointed to see just as many grays in my part line as before my coloring. I started there so the commute should have been the most saturated in that area. Really wanted this to work. Back to the salon I go.

J’ai demandé un cuivré, sur la photo, la couleur tirée plutôt vers le roux, en tout cas orangé. En suivant les instructions, je me retrouve avec une couleur surtout rouge, avec les reflets presque roses sur les longueurs les plus claires. Je suis extrêmement déçue! Je peux pas me les laisser détacher dans cet état!!! Je vais devoir m’acheter un décapant capillaire pour rattraper les dégâts! Merci bcp!

Ok the good and bad: 💓💔I like the concept behind esalon. Their other products are wonderful. Like the tint rinse and shampoo and conditioner combos.
Love the colorist team and how fast they answer any questions or concerns.
The bad, the color doesn't seem to take with my grays. I'm 44 years old so I have some gray hair on the side. Hair feels and looks nice for a couple weeks but the color does not hold. It maybe just this color I'm trying as I've had good luck with others. So I'm not ready to toss in the towel yet. I'll adjust it and see what happens.

I really wanted to like this product. I raved about it on my social media before I even tried it. The kit is awesome, shipping was so fast. I literally received it the same week I ordered. I followed all directions to the T and I provided pictures and history as to how black hair dyes always seem to fade quickly to brown or have a red undertone. I selected blue black permanent and my hair came out light red brown at the top and slightly more black on the ends. I'm really confused because even the cheapest blue blacks have never done this. I thought I could message my colorist because that's what they claim. But I have yet to receive any response and I find it odd that I'm expected to rock this half red brown half black hair till my next color shipment where they'll revise the color. Sigh...I tried but I'll be looking elsewhere.

The color sent to me was actually permanent. I specifically chose demi to use on virgin hair so that it wasn't permanent. I only purchased a few times and after using this for the last time about 7 months ago, I STILL have the stubborn color in my hair. When I finally scheduled an appointment with a colorist in a salon she told me that there was no way the color I used was demi permanent. I am extremely disappointed and definitely will not be back or recommend using eSalon.

At first I was skeptical to order. My first coloring didn't come out good at all. Color didn't stay on we'll.
And only last less than 3 weeks. After 2 wash gray was showing. And I just got another order today. Which I didn't want. I only ordered one time try.

I dyed my hair less than a month ago and I already have to do my roots again. I will be canceling, I can get better dye at the grocery store that lasts a lot longer. Very disappointed. For the price of this stuff you would expect better quality.

I ordered light brown ash mix and it turned my roots orange. Was unfortunately too late to cancel the automatic subscription so now have hair colour worth nearly £30 that I won’t be using. Very disappointed.

The color did nothing. I wrote in my account that I do highlights and I got color for just my roots. The color did not even change my hair. When I contacted support, they were defensive and super rude and unhelpful so I am canceling my account.

I love my hair color from e-salon and have used it for a number of years. I also loved the shampoo and rinse that was included. On my recent order, there was a different shampoo and rinse that smelled like medicine. Definitely not an improvement! Hoping a change back to the old shampoo and rinse will bring back the great product I am used to!

I usually have no problems with color but this last bottle was extremely thick and would not even come out the bottle , I made the home bigger in the bottle and still just too thick! Basically wastes almost a whole bottle of color

Estoy muy desepcionada realmente, el color no era el esperado y voy a pensar qué tal vez no supe poner el color que quería y se me oscureció mucho 😩, lo peor es que no cubrió mis canas sobretodo en el frente y seguí las instrucciones al pie de la letra, la verdad es que quiero llorar al ver mi resultado , NUNCA MÁS !!!!

This is my second time coloring with eSalon. First off, my grays do not take this color very well - I have to process for over an hour which might be why My hair feels really dry and damaged…. Also it’s auburn with red tones and I included in my review from last time that I wanted to remove the brassiness and neutralize red! It’s not the chocolate brown like I had envisioned…

Good pigment but leaves hair very dry.

Not super happy with it. My hair is more than 60% grey, it did cover quite a bit of the greys but it left my hair very dry and the colour is very brassy, where it should have been ash. Don’t think I’ll keep buying it.

I really liked the shade of color and the excellent coverage. However, I really didn't like the texture of my hair after the process. It was not full and thick feeling like I normally get from my regular products I use at home. Three stars at best
