I like that it’s personalized, no strong smell and I like the color as well but color washes off everytime I shampoo my hair. Maybe I’ll try another color next time but as of now I’ll be sticking to this color.

I started with E-Salon many years ago, but summer I went to salons. I have tough greys. I told the salon and 9 days I was grey. $171 broker for a cut & color, no blow out. It's 4.5 weeks and I am getting grey with E-Salon.

I was super excited for my hair dye kit! I've been doing my own hair for years but wanted to try a little bit nicer of a home hair system. I was disappointed with the result a bit as I followed the directions exactly but my roots are noticeably lighter/redder than the rest of my hair. The overall color was also much more purple/cool red than orange/warm red that I was expecting. I think it looks okay ignoring the roots and I think I may be able to fix it. Fingers crossed!
OKAY so they (s/o to my pal Mindy) sent me my new order and I got a color for my roots and ANOTHER for my ends and oh my god my hair looks incredible I couldn't be happier! 1000000/10

I was always nervous to buy a color and dye my hair on my own. I was sure it would be a fail. But quarantine pushed many of us out of comfort zone, including self care. I actually decided to try e-Salon after a bad experience at the salon(a so much waited visit at the salon). I have a natural color hair and needed just a touch up on the roots that went totally wrong at the salon. Ended up with cooper roots instead of natural brown and no big wish to try another salon. What caught me to sign in, was the communication with the colorist. Answered all my questions and following questions, plus all the personalized features.. felt very extra!(in a good way of course). I was nervous when i got the package. Dyed my hair on my own for the first time in my life, covered my grown roots and the cooper roots from the salon and it looker perfect. I was impressed that a person, by few pictures could choose the color better than the "specialist" that had me in front of her.
E-salon was the best decision of 2021 for me! Also, discovered other great products and I like to know that i have where to ask questions when i need to.
Will definitely go to salons again but not for my root touch ups. Thank you great team!

With E salon I have been able to colour my hair myself to attain the same quality of colour I would normally have to pay hundreds of dollars for in a salon.

I have been very pleased with the personalized colour I received.
Because I have very short hair it would be more economical for me if they had an option for the amount of product needed. I have to dispose of at least half that’s not used. Other than that I will continue to order the product.

I have been trying to find a color that is close to my natural. I’m 40 and my red was starting to look dull, also natural red hair turns white earlier than other hair colors and I had what I started calling “my Rogue patch” (think X-Men). I hated going to the salon, between the cost and every colorist refusing to believe when I say a little red goes a long way when you put it over natural red hair. I would pay more than $100 just to go home and frantically start washing with dandruff shampoo to intentionally try to get the color to fade.The other fun fact about red hair is dye doesn’t stick to it as well so it fades fast; trying to touch up my roots with the same color leads to a distinct 2 tone look. Yikes. I’ve been using eSalon for a little more than a year. I bought the clips, bowl, brush, and cape and every 6-8 weeks I settle in, turn on my music, and get to work on my roots. Then I take a few very small sections here and there and go all the way down. I love it EVERY time and get a ton of compliments on it. I’m a pharmacist and once I gave an antibody test to a beautician who asked where I got my hair done. When I told her I do it myself, her exact words were “you are ******* kidding me!”. Then she apologized for swearing and said she just couldn’t believe it. It’s mostly medium blonde with maybe 1/8th copper. Most people are surprised that it’s not my natural color, even my mother-in-law didn’t think I dye my hair.

I was a bit hesitant to order hair color online but the entire process and post order communication from the esalon colourist ensured the package I received had the exact match of my requested hair color!
I would have given five stars if only I received the delivery a bit sooner or if I could at least track my delivery after it reached Sydney.

I love the custom color I received this order. Last order my color was too dark. I asked my custom colorer to add some highlights to my next color. So I purchased a couple months ago but then was afraid to do it. Instructions said to apply color to roots then the other color highlighter on rest of hair. I guess I thought my hair would turn out a bright color. But actually my hair is an amazing color and my gray roots are gone!!

I've been using higher ends brands, but store bought, for the last 5 years or so. I felt like I was searching for the Holy Grail of a darker Auburn that didn't look pink/purple in the sun or generally fade after a week or two. Anyone that prefers reds, knows how hard it is to get a good one, let alone how to maintain it.
Not only was the package full of extras that any store-bought color will never give you, like skin protector and color oops wipes (which, ironically, I didn't even need!)... But it had very simple instructions that were easy to follow.
The color itself is natural looking and vibrant without being overwhelming and that is specifically what I told my colorist I was looking for and she delivered. Excellent follow-up afterwards to find out how I felt about the color and small adjustments were made to lighten up the brown element. This is a very excellent and seamless process to find the color that works for you. I can't recommend it enough!

Several tries to get the color I want but colorists are very helpful and I have been refunded for color I didn’t like. I really like the product and the customer service so I’m willing to give it a solid shot. Estimating color from photos without actually touching and feeling and seeing my hair is bound to take a bit of trial and error.

My husband was doing my hair with the store box. It was not attractive and within a month my hair was dull with gray. I couldn’t find a color I liked at the store, I came home feeling frustrated. I saw the eSalon and tried it. My friend Cut and colored my hair today I love it. I’m ready to play so we are going to do 50/50, tweaking my color I’m excited to see what my colorist mixes. Before I purchased from eSalon, I had bought drugstore kits and colored my hair myself and on a few other occasions I had it done professionally at several different salons. It NEVER came close to my actual hair color - I am trying to get rid of grays and back to my natural 'red' hair color which is actually more copper and auburn. The salons had some of my original hair color and could not get it even in the right range. I am so thankful for eSalon!!! I actually ordered it last year but then with never leaving your house - I didn't use it until a few days ago. It is fantastic. Thank you for getting it right. I am so happy that I get so close now to my original copper-auburn (we need more words redheads, and no I don't use the g-word). This is everything you need at an affordable price. Very happy!

Have you thought about this? I would buy it. Travel is back. But i can't take the bottles on the plane - too large. I'm often gone for weeks at a time and would like to touch up roots. Or just want one to keep in my travel kit in case a trip is extended or i miscalculate. PLEASE CONSIDER!

I have tweaked my colour to a cool mid-brown. The colour is good after application but fades quickly to a yellow tone that I don't much like. But it saves me sitting in the hairdressers for longer than I want to, so I'll carry on ordering for the time being...

With next order will request dark brown instead of darkest brown. Hair color appears more like black. May not look like in picture, however does in person. I realize eSalon has many various shades, which is a plus, so looking forward to making an adjustment. Thanks.

I wanted a cranberry red color ended up more like carrot top coppery red.
Second order came out more brown but third times the charm. Sent in a picture of the one I usually buy at the stores and this one turned out near perfect. I prefer the smell and ease of ESalon plus they never run out!

The color is fresh. They did a good job customizing it to my natural copper brown. After cancer, my hair grew back dark auburn and extremely fine. I wish the roots had a little more copper as the current root combo has a pinch more brown but overall it's manageable. I'm not fond that my color is consistently weeks late tho. I always order the set. It says the set comes with roots and ends. 2 bottles. I've tried nearly every other product, including the new partner company. 💞

This is my second colour, first one was nice but the roots were a bit light. So I asked for the colour to be adjusted and it’s perfect. Pretty good coverage however a few greys are still showing but that in my opinion makes it all the more natural!

My natural hair is a medium brown with about 25% grey at the sides and a little at the crown. My hair was virgin, no prior color at all. My stylist nailed my color perfectly and my hair is super soft. I feel that reviews that are left by folks with processed hair should be taken lightly. Highlighted hair is porous and may not hold color. And, people with permanent color may not know what base color their previous application had and it would be tough for a stylist to mix a color with a compatible base color without knowing what’s already on the hair. I am very happy with my hair and I have played kitchen sink cosmetologist a lot.

Very professional and cute! I loved the set and will be doing this again but with a shade darker because my hair is just a touch too dark for the shade I picked. Still loved it though. :)

Except for two wonky dark spots, I am totally gray-that's dull gray. I chose the lightest blonde. My hair is also very short-no more than an inch long. I'm going to have to let it grow out a little more now so I can really enjoy the blonde. It feels wonderful. I'll definitely be looking to add further fun products to enhance my future orders.

The pandemic drove my hairdresser of many years into retirement, and I started coloring my own hair. I tried another company but their customer service was poor. ESalon not only has great customer service, the product is better quality and less expensive. Score!

I bought my first lot of eSalon hair dye a bit ago as it was on special offer.
It comes in a letterbox size (important as I am usually out at work) box and there are so many thoughtful little things in it. A sticker to stick the instructions up with, 2xpairs of good gloves, stain removing towelet, skin protecting salve, a sachet of shampoo and my name on items.
It goes on like other dyes but my main reason to love this product after the multidimensional depth of colour is that my hair doesn't "bleed" dye onto my towel or pillowcase afterwards. Once it has been rinsed thoroughly no more dye seeps out. So no constantly changing my pillowcases every day for a week.
You can set delivery for as often as you need it or stop and take a break altogether from deliveries. I just wish it was a tad cheaper. But I use it as a treat.

I do love the color that I have chosen. I do wish it would last longer and continue to look the way it does on the day of my application. I notice my few grays that I do have Fade out quicker or they just don’t get covered. But overall I love the color

Je met juste 4 etoiles car le bemol cest lodeur mais sinon jai eu la couleurcdesiree sachanr que je suis novice en la matiere cest une amie qui vient me faire ma couleur mais le resultat plait a mon entourage autant qua moi. Elle a trouvé qye cetait tres bien expliqué et rapport qualité prix indeniable vu le prix en salon. Nayant pas les moyens daller chez le coiffeur le faire chaque fois cest pour moi un bon compromis davoir une couleur creee a ma demande sans me ruiner. 😊

Buying anything online can be a gamble but due to lockdown I decided to take a chance with esalon hair colour. I did the quiz and also uploaded a photo. To my surprise I received an email saying my photo showed my hair colour to be lighter than the colours I chose on the quiz. This was true as I answered the quiz based more on my natural hair colour (which is what I wanted to get close to) rather than my colour was at the time of completing the quiz. They made suggestions as to what Colour I should have, which I went along with. I received my hair dye a couple of days later and I am so happy with the result! I love the colour!!

what I got. I want to tone it down for next order. Maybe a medium ash brown. I will

So let me say, this is the best dye I have used in terms of ease of use and amount of product given. The kit was very well packaged and personalized. I ordered the additional color tools to have a more professional application. I suggest everyone make the additional investment as it really made the application a breeze. The only reason this is not 5 stars, is because the color did not come out as light as I had hoped/thought it would . I have not dyed my hair in 3 years. Aside from about one inch of old color on my ends, the rest is virgin hair. The roots came out lighter then the rest of the hair. I wish the root color translated to the middle and ends and even still, I wish it was a bit lighter. My end goal is to have a coopery red tone over time, but it is still very, very brown, which is disappointing. That being said, I do want to order again, and try to achieve a lighter tone.

Love the color match. My color looks very natural. My only concern would be the smell is very strong and my hair seemed a little dry after coloring. A good conditioner solved the issue no problem. I would def use again

I was wanting to go back to my natural colour (dark blonde) after dying my hair to a very light ash blonde for several years. I had tried eSalon to initially maintain my colour during the pandemic, but as they warned me, I couldn't achieve a light and cool enough blonde to match what I had. I then asked them to revise my colour so that I could cover my existing hair colour which had become so uneven from many different salons and methods with my natural hair colour.
They provided a demi-permanent colour to try it out and to transition which I was very receptive to and will continue to use since it's far less damaging, and can always come out if needed. The process was very easy, it took so little time to process compared to bleaching, and the result came out better than I had hoped. My hair looks very even now despite the mess underneath it, and the shade is very cool toned just like I asked for. I have to see how it holds up after several washes, but this is a great non-damaging and low risk way for me to grow out my natural hair colour and have healthier hair. Really happy with this revised solution I was offered!

This was my first time using eSalon and definitely will NOT be the last. The color mixed easily and covered every single grey hair; drugstore hair color that I previously used was not strong enough and left me with silvery roots. My hair feels in better condition and it not as dry or frizzy as before. Best of all: there is NO burning or itching of my scalp which is what happened when I used to have my hair colored at my local salon! The huge savings each month, combined with the quality of the products (and also excellent customer service) have made me a customer for life.

It always leaves a nice and unique color. I was hoping for a more lighter shade. I want to gradually go into lighter tones of brown but the chocolaty brown color was nice too.

I was at the hair salon and the stylist had just finished blowing out the cut she did. Another stylist came in an complimented her on the color. A little awkward since I did the color with eSalon! The compliments just keep on coming.

Unlike other competitive services, Esalon provided me with one on one color consultation based on pictures I sent in, and by requesting more detail about what my preferred color outcome would be. Since this is the first time I have used their products, I completely understood that we may need to tweak a little here or there for next time. The only thing I would change, is a little more support for grays at the temples and hairline around the forehead. And finally, the packaging, detailed, customized instructions and tools you need to apply your color are unlike anything I've seen, outside of going to the salon. Definitely ordering this product again!

At first I wasn't sure, but looking back at what I ordered (lightest blonde in the kit) and the result of my roots - it definitely did a good job and blended in. I had a friend actually do the root painting, and she did a great job. Honestly, Have someone else you trust do it. My only disappointment was that I really like a really light blond = almost bleached, but I would need a different product all together to accomplish this.
Overall the experience was solid and the product I ordered was also solid. I do wonder if I left it on for longer than the 15 minutes recommended if I would have gotten just a bit lighter, a bit more blending, so I'm going to reach out to one of the colorists to get their recommendations on next time.
Products as ordered - the directions were straight forward - be sure to follow the recommendations.

It was so easy to have eSalon help me fix my color! I was happy with the results and sent in a picture and they had even more ideas. While I miss going to the salon, I don't miss the prices, this has been a learning lesson, but they've been there every step of the way. I tried a competitor first and was very unhappy with the coverage and especially the color. I'm sticking with eSalon!

I have to color my hair every three weeks. I can only afford to color it professionally every three months. I was buying $ 3 boxes of supermarket dye that made my hair look like I doused it in black paint. I knew right away this product was the real deal because it smelled exactly like what my stylist uses. The color is so rich. And it's only $20 more than the cheap box dye I was using. Worth every penny.

I’ve been using e-salon for a while now, and the color is gorgeous, long lasting, and very affordable for what I’m getting. My only “con” is that I don’t get enough product in my recurring shipment to color ALL my hair thoroughly (hair is thick and to my mi-back region) Otherwise, excellent product with a respectable price point!

This is lighter than what I expected but it is AMAZING! Super easy and I expected the red to stain my skin but it didn't! It is super shiny and soft, Sadly, it looks better than salon color I was paying $100 every 6 weeks for!!!

Hi! I have been meaning to mention this for a while. The esalon kits are wonderful, but CLIPS!!! I find myself using pony holders or bobby pins, and it’s just not great. I LOVE that we get two pairs of gloves, but if 4 super basic clips would be included, I would be grateful. As the directions actually call for clips, it seems reasonable to assume they would be included in an “all inclusive salon colour experience.” I feel like I struggle to have even sections that are easy to work with without clips. That said, I need to space my colour kits out a bit more as the colour seems to last well- I haven’t tried my new formula, but I have always been happy with the colour product itself. Again, I just recommend some kind of basic clips to better the salon results at home with ease.
