I have been a client of eSalon for years now (on and off) and find them to be a great resource for all things hair...and one that gleefully offers up help and feedback. I have lived with an assortment of tones ranging from an assortment of medium Blonde(s), then onto some vibrantly bright Reds and now I finally took my hair back to it's true roots...that of stone cold Gray. I was tired of all of those Root Horror Shows over the years (especially with that Red), but wanted a bit of more color and warmth to help soften those signs of my many, often tumultuous years.
eSalon has always been that kind hand I needed, often talking and easing me into the land of new color, with this being no exception. The final color needed a little bit of a push here and there, but I am now as happy as a champagne blonde clam.
So folks, trust this source...they are simply great; offering up appropriate color in a snap AND all for an amazing price. My new look is so good that my RL stylist wanted to know how I was coloring my hair these days (especially because of that bright Red to Gray transition). She was shocked to learn this is all done online. Imagine, wearing your PJ's while talking to your colorists...how did we ever get along with a mere phone?

After an initial email, saying my chosen shade was too dark and was being adjusted for me, my colour arrived. It took 8 days from the US to UK, which I think is pretty good.
The colour indicated on the box looked liked it might be unnaturally red. But as it had come such a long way thought I do the strand test.
I needn't have worried - the colour is perfect. Rich and natural with incredible shine, it covers the greys and works really well with my skin tone (it was definitely worth adding the photo!) It's the colour I have always wanted and have never been able to find.

My color is perfect! I don’t know how they do it, but the color is an exact match to what I wanted. Now I can save time and money by coloring at home. I was a little sloppy with the back of my hair, but it still turned out great and I’m sure my application skills will improve with time. I really appreciate all of the helpful videos on the site, they made a big difference! PS - my hair is about 40% grey, but just like my expensive salon color, this covers them all. I waited a few weeks to write this review because I wanted to see how it wore. I’m very pleased! I’m 45 and I don’t plan on ever showing my greys if I don’t have to. I also have long, curly, dry, hair and they sent the perfect amount to cover it all.

This color was to cover my roots, and I followed the instructions exactly. What a beautiful color!!
Very little clean up, hardly any mess. Easy to rinse in the shower and now I want the color all through my hair!
So much less expensive than going to my stylist.
We are in an RV for the winter and I worried that I would make a mess all over the tiny bathroom and shower, but not a problem.

I am naturally a brown black rather then soft black as originally thought. But I love this color! Because I am already a dark brunett it works with my eyes, and skin tone and is so bright and shiny. My highlights weren’t what I wanted and this all over color corrects my issue with highlights. Thank you eSalon for a fantastic product.

I wanted to wait until 4 or 5 weeks had passed since coloring my hair to write my review. I wanted to see how the color changed with repeated washings, and how the temples held up, I am happy to give a 5 star rating. The color stayed pretty close to the color it was when I first colored it, and after 4 1/2 weeks my temples are just starting to lighten and the only grays showing are new growth. I am happy with the color that was created for me and will be a repeat customer. I am glad that I gave eSalon a try. It was worth it!

After spending $80 - $120 to get my hair colored, this color set is perfect. It doesn't have the smell that so many products have. The color lasts longer, and it continues to look great. I decided to try it first with a non-permanent color and I decided to keep it non-permanent. I have used many OTC hair color products, and there is no comparison to eSalon. I will only use them in the future.

i am absolutely sure this is the best hair coloring product on the market today! by virtue of the smell alone, it far exceeds all expectations! my hair smelled clean and fresh after using the classic shampoo and not like a chemical dump pit! the color is rich and vibrant, the grays are GONE, especially around the forehead hairline, and my hair feels more lush and thick after using this product. i won't be using anything else to color my hair! so thankful i found your site...your colorists are THE experts!

When I ordered hair color earlier this year for the first time online, I thought the most I could expect was for it to be brown and at least last a couple weeks. Well, to my wonderful surprise, the color was more that perfect. It was exactly what I wanted. It managed to rid the brassy red color that was I developed over the last few colors and they nailed the color medium brown color I described to my colorist. She obviously listened and paid attention to what I wanted while creating a color mixture that could hold and cover grey hair for six weeks easily. I highly recommend every woman to give eSalon a try and especially try it and work with the colorist to find the right mix for your hair.

I've been using eSalon since 2012 and I love it. I originally started to cover my premature grey roots. I like that I can change the formulas between the seasons. Darker in the Fall and Winter, then I add highlights in the Sprint and Summer. They are very responsive to questions and periodically send me something to try, free of charge. Last year I noticed my ends were getting lighter and lighter, so I asked if they did an all over color. Next shipment they sent me a Custom Ends Refresher. I now get that with every shipment to keep my hair a consistent dark auburn. Highly recommend eSalon for your hair color. They really care.

Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. I find using my fingers is way better than the comb. My hairdresser actually thought I went to the high end salon in town to get it done! What a compliment!

I love my custom color. I can't explain it but its not "too black". Sometimes black dyes just make my face look washed out --the color is too harsh and flat. This blend has some reddish hues to it that gives a nice balance in the black color and more dimension in the color. I also love the set that comes with two pair of gloves (that aren't thin and cheap), pre-treatment for your face to avoid stains, color removal packet for any stains, shampoo and conditioner.

I love everything about this product from how it was beautifully packed in the shipping box to the finished product. I started this last fall and have colored twice. I love the nice red/brown esalon made for my natural red hair to cover my gray for the winter months! Nice job of covering the gray, and nice job with the color. LOTS of compliments! Now it’s time to try more blonde/red for the spring😊

Thought my color was too dark but when I took it to my beautician friend she told me the shampoo was not enough for my mop of hair and the color didn’t wash off my hair and scalp! She washed my hair and scalp twice with a quality shampoo and my color looks amazing! The shampoo and conditioner needs to be doubled and the stain removal wipes need to be tripled. I could not use the stain removal cream because it has coconut which I am allergic to but the stain removal wipes are awesome!

I love the fact that every couple of weeks my hair color arrives at my door. I never have to worry or even think about it. My hair feels amazing afterwards and the color is consistently beautiful. It’s everything!!

I can only reiterate my previous review - these products are simply fab! Very easy to use and give truly lovely results. I went to my hairdresser for a cut very recently and she thought this was not only a really good colour for me (thanks to the personal crafting service) but that it was also a very high quality. In short she was impressed - what's not to like!!

I loved the color. It was exactly the color I wanted. It was easy to do, especially with the detailed instructions that came with the kit. The price is cheaper than I would pay for the coloring kits I would buy in the store. I have already told many people about your product.

I usually get my hair coloured at a hairdressers but recently I was not happy with the colour and the red tint to my colour. I saw an advert for eSalon and read the reviews and thought "why not'! Paul, my colourist, got in touch after I filled out a little survey on my current colour and what I was trying to achieve, just to ask a few questions and to advise me better. I was happy to follow his advice. Shortly after my kit arrived with everything you would need, gloves, cream to protect your skin and after colour remover. Also shampoo and conditioner. Instructions were simple to follow and the result was really brilliant. My hair is shiny and I love the colour. I will be asking Paul to make it a little more ashy as still have a little bit (for my liking) of those pesky red tints in it but that is my personal preference and not a complaint . Would recommend.

In the past I did not like to do my own color. I never seemed to get even coverage ....with the easy to follow instructions and generous amount of product I am getting better results each time I use eSalon. The Custom Hair Color is just right. I would give a 5 Star rating but my skills need more improvement, lol

I've colored my hair at home off and on for years but this was the best result! The color was exactly as shown on the web and having 2 custom mixes, one for roots and one for ends gave me a salon perfect result. I've gotten so many compliments and no one can believe I did it my self. I've recommended it to friends and I will certainly continue to use eSalon for great results! As a person who likes to mix my color up, I am glad to have their professional staff available to walk me through the correct way to get different shades or colors. Very easy to understand the instructions and glossy, beautiful hair as a result!

I don’t normally write reviews but I loveee how my first esalon kit came with everything I need, including an extra free bottle of dye. My first package was lost for about a month so I emailed customer service and they sent me another one without hesitant or extra costs. It came quickly and I’m impressed!

The color formulated for me turned out great. It was just what I wanted. It's not faded quickly, covered my few greys and my hair didn't feel dry afterwards. I do condition my hair frequently so that may have helped.

I haven't colored my hair in 10 years. I found out about coloring for "low lights". So essentially, I was looking to cover some gray and white hair to my natural color. I was skeptical but wanted to give this a try. After completing the process and drying my hair. I thought at first it was a little dark, then my neighbor came over and noticed my hair immediately. She said it matched my complexion and looked great. After a few hours the color seemed to set in and looks much better than I originally thought.

My 16 year old granddaughter wanted to change her hair color from a dirty blonde to a dark brunette but was concerned about the reddish cast that most of her friends hair had. This was our first time using your product and she loves it!! After a month the color as brilliant without fading and no RED!!!! Her sister is a graduate from Paul Mitchell and she has remarked about how fresh the color still looks! Best at home color or maybe better than a salon. Thank you!

I had my hair professionally colored for years
Until I needed it done every 4-5 weeks
So I tried drug store brand and was satisfied except the permanent color would wash out so I was using it every 3 weeks (still 100 times cheaper then the salon)
Then I saw the FB ad and figured it’s a little more expensive but what the heck.... totally worth it Long lasting color!!!
