Fantastic results! Doesn't stink to high heaven--during or after.I'd only colored my hair a few times before in my life, and that was 20 years ago. But I'm a teacher, and I'm graying rapidly (guess why, ha ha...). I find that I need to color more frequently each year. However, I simply cannot afford to go to a salon every 6-8 weeks. I briefly considered letting myself go all silver, but at age 48, I don't quite feel ready. So I decided to try eSalon. I am not big on hawking products, but I was absolutely blown away with how well this setup works. I have thick but very fine, silky hair, I wear it about shoulder length, and I'm about 60% gray. My hair took the color extremely well, the process was easy and clear, I didn't need to do or buy anything beyond what was in the kit, and the quality of color is at least as good as what I'd been getting at twice to five times the price in salons. I followed the directions to the letter, and everything came out wonderfully. Best of all, I'm sitting here writing this review and I am not overwhelmed by the pungent stink of my own hair. I consider myself a serious "beauty dummy." I don't wear makeup and don't spend a lot of time fussing over myself past applying moisturizer and sunscreen. I even had trouble separating my hair into sections--that's how useless I am. But I am sold on this product. The well-written instructions make it easy, the color looks great, and I can afford to continue to do it over the long term. A wonderful deal! Requested Ash Recieved GoldenI was very specific when speaking to an esalon stylist that my hair is ashy blonde, and I did not want to wind up with any gold to my color. The color was easy to apply. No need for a professional colorist.I have very resistant gray but the personalized color did a superb job of coloring my gray. My first color selection was a little too dark, not the colorist fault, my fault in my response to their questions. Please be as specific as possible. People dont know I color my hairThe color is so my natural color that when I get my hair cut the hairdresser doesn't know its colored till I tell her! People think I am younger than am. Beautiful color!!I originally ordered from esalon and the color I received was way too dark, pretty much black. I requested a chocolate brown with red/mahogany tint. Since I was not satisfied customer service immediately answered my email, apologized, and credited my account making my next color free. I figured even though the color was too dark the quality was great, it did not damage my hair too much even though I used permanent dye, and my hair was more shiney. I gave it another try being my next color was free. It was easy to make changes and explain the color I wanted. Sure enough, my new color came and it was exactly what I wanted. The only thing was I chose semi-permanent so it obviously doesn't seem to be lasting as long as permanent, which I expected, but it really has faded much faster. Overall, I am satisfied, I've recommended esalon to friends and family also. It's PURE GARBAGE IN EVERY WAY NO WORTH EVEN 1 STARtwice been disappointed by this scam company. Still keep selling me emails to tell me they are due to deliver my next order. Very DisappointedI don't even think my colorist read the details of what I wrote. I even wet and thinned out the color to attempting to get it to cover my hair and there wasn't even enough to cover just my scalp let alone my length!
