Doesn't cover gray well.I follow the instructions but find the color doesn't cover my roots for much more than 2 weeks. The first time I used it, the color lasted longer. Red headingThe color is lighter than the original but it is still too dark for my taste. Love the easiness of coloring my hair though. I prefer lighter colors than this reddish strawberry. Not what it used to beI give this product two stars because it used to work wonderfully for me when I started using it almost 3 years ago. It is a great color, but I have noticed that the color does not last like it used to. Within a week, my roots are already showing. And that is with using sulphate-free, color safe shampoo. It used to be there weeks before my roots started coming back, but it has consistently lasted me a week and I've had to use other root touch ups in the mean time.
