Had a few issues with this color setI’ve been using esalon for about two years now, and overall I’ve been very happy. The color always looks great, and I’ve been really loving the highlight set too. However, this last one did not go well. Firstly, the dye had a nasty fishy smell to it (a card in the box said there was a new formulation, so I’m guessing that’s why). Not a huge deal, but just kind of gross. My main problem however, is that when I washed the dye out of my roots at the end, it must have stained my highlights on the way out because they’re now almost completely covered up! I’ve touched up my roots with highlights a number of times before with no issues, so I’m guessing it might have something to do with the new color formulation as well. LOVE the new formulaI love love love the new hair dye formula! It's easier to apply and much easier to wash out. I used to have to wash twice to get it all out but with this new formula it only took one time. I also noticed that it didn't run was much onto my face/neck.
