Love the colorAlthough the color is great, and this product is easy to use, this last application seems to be fading faster than previous applications. I used the same amount of time to process, and I only shampoo twice a week. My gray at the temples is showing sooner than expected and the color doesn't seem as intense past the first week or two. Ammonia-Free = Success!I had tried a few different hair dyes but noticed that my scalp would become unbearably itchy - the kind of itching that once you started there was no way to stop! I was such a novice, I didn't know that it could simply be the ammonia in the formula. I switched to eSalon (great deal!) but noticed the same itching. I did some research then spoke with the color consultant. She was so helpful! She told me that my custom color could be re-formulated WITHOUT the ammonia. I was game for one more try. My 'new' color arrived on my doorstep in 3 days and I immediately colored my hair... And then I waited. 1 hour - nothing, 1 day nothing. Hurray -no itching! What a relief. I love this product. My hair really loves Esalon hair colorYA know how after three weeks box color can make your hair dry and brittle until its colored again, this does not happen with Esalon and my hair just looks so natural. A little dark, but I'm not inclined to change itI found the colour thoroughly covered all my grey (never usually happens!) and I love the fact that it doesn't 'bleed' when I wash my hair. Good but expensiveI like the hair color. It covers my grey well and looks very natural. Would have rated five stars if it wasn't for the cost with shipping and handling is too much.
