The brush/comb is annoying and when you try to pull off the cap, the whole top (black piece) comes off causing me to get it on my fingers from putting it back in the tube. Nice color though.

I thought this would be great for touch up between colorings, but it was disappointing. It was very watery and splashed everywhere when I removed the brush from the tube every time. I expected it to be thicker to help with the cover the roots. It wasn't that great for my gray roots and I had to use a lot to even get a little bit of coverage of the gray hair.

I found it difficult to apply. In my opinion, the brush is scalled too small, Sooo my hair (I have quite straight hair) was caught in the brush and the brush could not run through smoothly. In the end the applied substance was thick and clumpsy and after half a day my hair looked and felt very much like needed a wash.

Applicator is like a mascara wand and hard to cover roots as way too small and hard to use especially on anything but the temples. The liquid may have been a bit dried out (I shook it well) but it showed little clumps when applying. Waste of money.

I have had some trouble in knowing how much to put on, and in feeling confident that I got even coverage. I will continue to use it, but it either needs more instructions or a better formulation, perhaps? or you need help in the application of the product.

I tried the Color Kiss temporary root touch up and it was a bad experience. It was easy to use but the product left a thick, grimy, sticky, itchy mess in my hair. When I'd scratch the itch, I'd get a thick dark goo under my fingernails. The small area of hair I used this product on was the crown of my head about an inch in diameter. I left it in for 24 hours hoping it would get better. I did not.

I decided to try this root touch up as an alternative to the spray because it had a color choice closer to my shade and I thought I would be able to apply it more precisely. While the applicator allows precision, it is difficult to extricate from long hair and left my part feeling clumpy. I plan to return to the spray root cover up

This product was very disappointing for me. The coverage was too thin and never completely covered any of my gray strands. This also seemed to dry out quickly. I would not recommend this product, it's a waste of money.

I thought I'd found a good product worth the money, but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. The product is smaller than a bottle of mascara and very difficult to administer with the wand. The product leaves a sticky residue where it's placed and makes brushing or combing very painful.
I normally love all the products I have purchased, but this one unfortunately gets the thumbs down.

I ordered this product without seeing a picture first. I have used L’Oréal professional root touch up which is a spray and covers well in between colors. This product comes in a tube like mascara. I have super fine hair. The first application got the wand tangled in my hair and resulted in pulling my hair out. But it did leave a big glob of stuff in what hair I had left. I had to wash my hair again. This product needs to come with a warning that it’s not for fine hair!

This product adequately covers, however I WOULD NOT recommend this. I couldn’t run my fingers let alone a brush through it. Had to shampoo my hair approximately 8 times to get the stickiness out. I tried everything. All other products i have used from esalon are great

Difficult to use. Not enough product in wand. Did not cover gray well around the temples. I did use it on eyebrows and it worked better for them. This is really temporary, only lasts one day.

Sticky roots - not a fan

While I love everything else I've tried with eSalon, this was an exception. It definitely hid the gray but it added a sticky texture to my hair that just made it look worse. The plastic cap covering the applicator brush was also very difficult to remove - eventually got it off after wedging my nails under it but I didn't feel it was the most user-friendly design. I wouldn't order this again.

My grays are so difficult to cover. As it is the hair dye I purchased from here doesn’t cover my grays. There are always parts that don’t take. So I am continuously looking for a product I can use in between washes/touch ups. I don’t wash my hair daily for the same
Reason that the hair dye comes off. This product flaked on me badly. Nothing more embarrassing then having “color” all over your face.

This is easy to use but found it to be too thick, even after combing and left my hair very stiff. I’ll stick with the WOW powder or spray. Sorry. Love their hair color though.

It gives great and smooth coverage, but I didn’t like the texture it left on my hair. It was also hard for me to wash it out. BUT, it definitely serves its purpose and covered my grown out roots wonderfully!

My hair looked greasy after using the root touch-up and it felt awful (like it had paint in it). When I tried to wash it out it wouldn't come out. Fortunately, eSalon sent me instructions on how to get it out and gave me a refund. You guys are awesome! I absolutely love your regular hair color, I guess the root touch-up just doesn't work well with my hair type.

I tried this product right before my sons wedding. Big mistake. Though it did cover the gray, it left my hair feeling sticky and left a mat type finish. Healthy hair is shiny not mat. When I brushed my fingers through my hair, they just stuck there. My mascara would have been an equivalent fix. Definitely not for me.

The color I was sent matched wonderfully but when I put it on my roots and let it dry it was very difficult to brush through. I tried many different brushes and combs and it stayed crunchy and clumpy. The hair color was great but if it was a different texture that would be awesome.

The color was good. However, it was clumpy and somewhat difficult to distribute. It also appeared that my hair was dirty where I applied it. I did do better on other attempts. I do like that I can cover my grey while waiting for my next color package.

I thought I’ll try it to extend a little the time in between my colorings. I have a couple of grey streaks right in front that somehow grow faster then everything else. Thought I can cover those, but the product is too chalky, hard to apply without having little lumps left on your hair. I tried mixing it better, using very little at a time and adding gradually but not for me. Put your hand thru your hair and you get nasty little chunks and color on your fingers. I tried though thexamo most and that whorls spectacularly better if you know how to apply and don’t spray you scalp too much

I was really excited about this product, but it wasn't at all what I expected. It did kind of cover the few greys I have, but it's goopy and left my hair feeling like there was something caked onto it. I followed instructions and combed through it, but it still looked and felt like I had something gross in my hair. It also did not perfectly match my other color, so I ended up still seeing a color difference between my roots and the rest of my hair. I disliked it so much that I won't even use what I received.

I used it twice and both times it did not adhere to my hair. It was as though I did not put anything on my hair. Instead, I used my mascara to hide some of the gray and that worked.

This product was difficult to apply and left droplets of color all over my bathroom counter. The applicator was difficult to work with and I ended up only using it around the front edges of my hair, for fear of getting the brush tangled in my hair. Won't be purchasing again.

This formula is too sticky. Couldn’t see any difference between this and mascara except for doubling of the price. Why can’t they formulate this as a light oil based gel instead ?

I was warned this wouldn't match my hair cilor, but i took a chance.. the light copper was very red and didn't blend in naturally.. it's pretty easy to use.
