The mist if too heavy for thin fine hair. I have tried everything and it goes on too heavy and cements my hair together and that causes breakage. I do like my hair after I get it unstuck but I have other volumizer that does not gum up my hair and break it so I will not be reordering this product. I would really like to buy from you but you need to get your container to have a finer mist.

This product comes in a spray bottle that has a nozzle so hard to press . I have to put it on the sink and put my head on the sink next to it to have a hard surface on which to get enough pressure when I press down. I can' t hold it & press hard enough.

I am not one to use a lot of products in my hair but I have been trying out a few for volume at my roots. If you are used to using hair spray etc in your hair then I think you may like it as it did lift my roots. This worked but for me it seemed a bit like hairspray.

I was excited to try this product and it is okay for my hair but not great. It doesn't give a whole lot of lift and it is too heavy for my fine, curly hair. A little goes a long way. I wouldn't buy it again.

Purchased this item in hopes of adding more body to my roots. Since my hair is long and heavy it weighs down a couple days after washing. I am not too fond of this product. It is just sitting in my bathroom cabinet now. I was disappointed in how crispy it made my hair. I followed the directions yet when I ran a comb through my hair it got stuck and some hair came out. The crispness is not what I like when it comes to my hair. I have tried several brands of Root Lifting products and have not come across results such as these. I absolutely love eSalon hair color, as well as a few other products I have purchased with my eSalon auto ship. I have shared eSalon website invite with my friends. eSalon customer service is incredibly awesome and I will continue to be a loyal customer.

I personally didn't like lift mist. It didn't give any noticeable lift or volume and made my hair feel like it had a hard setting hairspray in after it dried even though I only used a small amount.

First, delivery system is terrible. It sprays large sputtering amounts, so I put it in a different bottle that delivers a fine mist. Product works very well at holding. It even stands up to humid climates. I hate the bottle.

I have finner hair and this product; when sprayed on wet hair, is like pulling caramel out of it. It's so sticky and feels like I'm tearing my hair out. I haven't tried on dry hair, but with its wettness would make it more like a spray gel and would need to blow dry anyway. Not great for my hair.

I wasn't impressed with this product. It left my roots feeling and looking stiff. Later when I wanted to comb my hair, I couldn't get a comb through it. Had to wash my hair to get rid of this awful mess

Although I've tried to use a little less of the product, it leaves my hair very stiff … and not easily combed. It might be a matter of getting accustomed to using the right amount of spray. It is much stiffer than the mousse I had been using. It does tend to hold FIRMLY but I'd like hold without the extreme stiff feel.

I wanted to love this, but my finicky hair got sticky and dry and had no lift. I'm going to "gift" it to my bff in hopes that she will love it like the rest of the reviewers. If not, we will just pass it along until it finds a home that is appropriate.

I have always used a root boost of some kind. I was so hopeful that, for the price, this one would be great. It's super hard to spray from the bottle and very, very sticky. I've used foams and mouses and liquid sprays from most any prestige brand........this one was so disappointing.

I had the worst experience using this product. Originally purchased to lift my already thinning hair it stuck my roots to the scalp and I it lost additional hair trying to comb it out. Do not waste your money on this product., unless you want to pull out a bunch of hair to remove it

This is more like liquid hairspray. It is a hard hold in your hair. If that is what you are looking for then it will work great. I will try it one more time and use a slight spray.

I originally got the travel size of this and it was great...light weight, yet gave the lift I was looking for. Tried the full size version, and it was nothing like the travel size! Much too sticky and the scent was too over powering. What happened!? Why the difference in formulation?

I started out with the sample set of the shampoo/ conditioner and root lift. I really liked the root lift spray so I ordered it in the large size along with my color order. What a disappointment when it arrived!
Luckily it was in a lined e salon bag as it had leaked all over it. The safety lid was on correctly and the lid was tight. I cleaned it up and took it with me on vacation only to find it leaked into my makeup bag. I haven’t used it since.

I've only used the product once. Too early to tell if I like it as I wasn't sure if I applied it correctly. The reason for the lower rating is because when I received it the product had leaked in the packaging and the container was wet to the touch. I'm not sure how much had leaked. Not a lot, I assume but concerns me to order more product to be shipped to Canada.

I tried my order of get lifted today and although it does lift the roots well it left my hair feeling powdery dull and frizzy even after blow drying and straitening. I even ran through some argon oil but my fingers still snag when I run them through my hair. Not a fan sorry😟

I received the one I ordered but it was opened and all over my bag. I emailed customer service and they sent me another one. Well...!!! you won’t believe it, not only was it opened it was empty and all over the packageing the Post Office had put it in another bag because everything was saturated. This product is not what I expected, I originally saw it on UTube with a girl doing a how to get thicker hair spot. So I followed her instructions to the letter and NOPE. Its a sticky mess of rat producing gunk. I had to wash my hair to get it out bc when it dried it was so hard like cement. If I were to comb my hair it would have pulled it out.

Too stiff, no lift.

I really wanted to like this product. I have used it three times now, with and without other trusted products in my daily routine, and every time I’ve used it my roots are essentially glued to my scalp. I literally have to go through my hair inch by inch with a fine comb to pull my hair away from my scalp. I can’t imagine it’s any different from spraying hairspray directly at my roots. Maybe the foam is better?

I loved this product until the formula changed! Now it feels and smells like drugstore hairspray, whereas before it was an excellent and soft volumizer. PLEASE RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS FORMULA!

I was so looking forward to using this product, but I’m afraid it fell flat of expectation. Although it did come in lovely packaging, I used as directed, but felt it left my hair a little crispy and not any more lifted than using a high street heat spray. Feel like I’ve wasted my money if truth be told. I have short fine hair and it did change the texture, just not for the better. Sorry!

I used to love this product!! The last few bottles I have received have been awful. I thought maybe I had a bad batch so I tried another bottle and had the same experience. I even tried reordering a third time but it is still the same. The new formula is sticky (like hairspray), smells strongly of alcohol (loved the old formula smell) and actually leaves my hair looking greasy the next day (I have not had that problem in 30 years and it's fine when I don't use this product). It also does not give the same lift it did. Please bring back the old formula!!!

This product does give some lasting lift, but it is also very sticky, very hard to wash off anything it touches, and makes your hair feel yucky.

The formula must have changed. This is impossible for me to use. It's as though I'm using stiff hairspray on my damp hair and it is impossible to comb. I was careful to use sparingly on roots only. The previous purchase of this product did not have this issue. Will not purchase again and I'll have to throw out the product. Cannot even pass it on to anyone else to use. Refund please.

I’ve used numerous other salon brand root lifters so l’m no neophyte with this type product. I watched a couple youtube “how-to’s” then decided to try this brand. I did everything by the directions & unfortunately it was a mess. It was like l poured clear nail polish on my roots. After using a wide tooth comb & dryer to chip pieces out of my hair l gave up & had to wash it out.
I also bought the shampoo which didn’t seem to lather very well, even after a 2nd washing. Not too impressed with this brand. Sorry, it’s an honest review!
