I wanted this because of what is sent with the color box each time, but I realize now that the samples sent must be a highly concentrated version of this set. Its not the same and I have to use alot of it to produce the results I need. My scalp also reacts negatively to the bottled product and not the sample sets.

The shampoo and conditioner leaves your hair feeling lovely and soft. I noticed a marked difference in the texture of my hair after the first use. The only thing I would say was that when I opened the bottle of condition, the security peel was loos and had been placed on top of the bottle and the bottle was markedly lighter than the shampoo bottle, leading to the conclusion that perhaps the conditioner had been used or perhaps returned. I don't know, I just know that it wasn't right. My advice would be to check the security seals as soon as your order first arrives so that you can deal with it quickly.

I ordered these bc I thought they’d be the same products as in the color kits, they are NOT! They smell almost the same but the way they behave on your hair is totally different. There was really no difference between these “high end” special care products as suave, in fact the suave pro line may even be better.
I thought by using the eSalon products I would be taking better care of my hair but it just isn’t true. These products seem to be hard on hair.

I like the shampoo/conditioner that comes with the color treatment. The bottles seemed like a different formula. It did not leave my hair as shiny and silky kind of dull and frizzy. Also, I thought they were $ 12 for both for first time purchase but they were $12 each. Disappointed !

I used the sample size shampoo and conditioner labeled as classic that came with my color kit. Really liked the shampoo so I ordered the full size bottles. It was 38.00 including shipping and what I received was clearly not the same product as the color kit samples. When I reached out to esalon the response was they were out of the classic shampoo and conditioner so the shampoo in the color kit was actually a shampoo called alterna and was labeled as the classic shampoo. I’m so disappointed at how misleading that is and was really happy with the color kit but I definitely won’t be buying anything else if the products aren’t what the packaging says they are. Now I’m stuck with full size classic shampoo and conditioner that I won’t use.

I tried this product because it was on sale when I reordered my color. I did not like it as well with my hair as the kind I had been using. Maybe, it was just timing, but I felt like I lost more hair than usual when I used it. Might be just a coincidence, as I am going through menopause and many things are happening! May try again inn the future, but for now going back to old standby.

I bought this duo as I got samples of it with my color. I really like the shampoo, and liked the conditioner in the sample pack, however, the conditioner is so thick I can't get it out of the bottle without taking the top off and doing a lot of shaking. If I could have, I'd have returned the conditioner. If I don't just throw it away, I'm going to have to add water until I can actually get it out of the bottle, but that seems to be defeating the purpose of the conditioner. I would not recommend.

The shampoo seems fine, lathers good. The conditioner isn’t doing the job. My hair has a lot of static when drying, and very fly away. Not good. Also the caps on both bottles have no snap lock when opening and closing. I will not be ordering the duo again.

I'm a male who is allergic to almost everything that is artificially scented or enhanced scented. I become sick from those stupid plug-in air fresheners and scented Febreze sprays and scented candles and incense etc. The shampoo smells too floral for me, the conditioner is tolerable. Neither was as effective as Ion's shampoo and conditioner (Repair Solutions) FOR ME. While this was my experience, yours may be different, and such is the nature of hair.

This combo was not for me. I found it left my colour treated has super dry no matter how much conditioner I put into it. I also have fine hair and I felt it weighed it down if used too much, but was too frizzy if I didn't use enough.

I bought this shampoo thinking it was the same one in the little packages that comes with the hair color, but it's not. After shampooing with this and rinsed off, my hair felt very tangled, and you have to use conditioner, I never had issues with other shampoo, I ordered a different one,so hopefully I'm not disappointed, especially since it's not reasonably priced

Not so great for my fine hair that usually runs on the dry side. The shampoo is great, but the conditioner is a waste. It leaves my hair dry and straw-like, hard to comb through and frizzy. There are drug store conditioners that have been better on my hair.

I bought this shampoo and conditioner set after LOVING the set that comes with the color kit. I’m not sure if it’s a different product or it just doesn’t work great long term but it does nothing for my hair. Maybe I should have bought something smoothing or with more conditioning for dry hair but this leaves my hair dry and unmanageable. Very disappointed.

I like having the shampoo because I find the small packet they send in the color package to be insufficient to wash out my hair after coloring. Having an extra bottle around is nice for this purpose. However, the price is outrageous, especially since I cannot buy the shampoo separately, and I won't be buying it any more.

This shampoo and conditioner seems about the same as any low-cost product. I wouldn't say it's any better than Suave, for example. It also comes in a pretty small bottle, so it doesn't last very long.

Utterly useless. I suppose the shampoo is OK but the conditioner is useless. Didn't condition the hair-- it remained "rough" and tangled. I had to re-condition it with a commercial conditioner for color treated hair to comb through it. Don't waste your money.

I got it since I was running out and I was already ordering color. I asked for color safe shampoo and this might be it and it might work but I couldn’t really tell. The labels say nothing about being safe for chemically treated hair or has any indication that it protects color.

this may help your hair but it left my hair a gooey mess....had to use an OTC shampoo to get it all out. Please do NOT send this with my next order.

It keeps my hair tangle free, but it just seems so thick. I can't even squeeze it out using the end of the tube. I have to take the whole top off to get some to squirt/plunck out. Then some ends up on the ground. Then I worry about how something so thick could be good for my hair, maybe weighing it down some.

Glad to "save" my color from shampoos and conditioners that strip color. But I miss the soft condition I get from my old shampoo & conditioner, so I tend to alternate these with my Nexxus products.

This particular shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair feeling heavy and then gets greasy incredibly fast. No matter how much I rinse I feel like there’s still a film, I guess you could say, on my hair. It’s just not for my hair type I guess. Smells amazing though.
