The shining armor makes my hair quite soft. It also helps with the frizzy hair on the back of my head. I don't think it is as great as some of the other reviewers made it sound. I've had other products do the same for less money. I hate saying not so nice things about a product, however I have to be honest.

My hair looked like a hay stack and nothing was helping. When the eSalon rep suggested this, I got it. I still have trouble believing that the tiny amount you get in your palm from three pumps is going to do any good, but it really does! It's all that's needed to make my hair shiny and healthy-looking.

It is probably a great product for other hair types. But mine is fine and curly. If used as directed, on damp, freshly shampooed hair, it makes the hair go flat within an hour or more. I may try it one more time on dry hair, to see how my hair responds.

I have tried SO MANY PRODUCTS and they either leave my hair oily or feeling like there is extra waxy product in it, and they actually make my frizz worse. It works on damp hair before drying, or dry hair before styling, because I use this on my hair before I curl or straighten it, and I even put a little in after curling to give my hair more smoothness and shine.

This is the best hair serum that I have ever tried, but at $18 for the AutoShip price that’s a little more expensive than what it’s worth, I can go to Sephora and get something cheaper that’s not as good but it does the job and I save money. They need to come down on price on their shine silk product, all these products add up and then you end up paying $100 and you could’ve went to the salon for that, because remember, we are coloring our own hair, and still making a huge mess, and it’s not easy to keep off the floor and walls. I truly would rather have it done because of the stains I’ve left in my sink, they need to give us more packets of stain remover.

Use extremely sparingly. I try to keep it on the ends and it combs through to the rest. Too much and it's way too oily. Probably won't be getting this one again since there are plenty of other products available.

To be honest, it was difficult to know how to use the product. The bottle is so small and the text on the bottle difficult to read because one is not sure of the directions. Since it is liquid, one would assume you have to put it on the palm of your hand and just rub it into the hair.(What the quantity?)

Used shine silk on my hair a number of friends commented that my hair looked different when i was on a video chat. Did'nt let on what I'd used until after the video call. Well i have to have some secrets.

I tend to use it before drying, before straightening & after straightening. I only use a small amount as I do feel the product in my hair & any more would be too heavy. I wouldn't put it near my roots.

When I asked eSalon what made the models' hair so shiny, they said it was the Silk. I bought a bottle with my last order and found it was argan oil. I can buy other good brands for a lower price.

This product was too greasy for my hair. My hair also did not proof up in volume when I used as directed. It actually flattened my hair. I also did not see the shine in my hair as expected. I tried to use less, and did get some reflective shine, but it did not produce a shine like silk. I had to wash my hair daily if I used this product.
