I think that overall this is a fabulous service. For custom color and endless patience on the part of the colorists who actually read your comments/revisions and adjust per your instructions, you can’t beat the price. I live in CA and I love that I can reach a colorist at 730 am on a Saturday or Sunday. The packaging and convenience of 2 sets of gloves shows someone put thought into this service. And getting the box makes me feel like I’m un opening an expensive present. It’s that pretty. For these reasons I’d love to give esalon 5 stars. If I am honest though, I will say I’m not100% satisfied with the gray coverage. I have some stubborn grays in the front (most important area I’d like to cover lol) and this product does not successfully cover those gray hairs for more than a few days.

While it was on my hair i was scared it would be to dark. I washed it off and blew dried it... WOW DOUBLE WOW looks amazing !!! Better colouring than I've had in years and i was getting it done professionally. I need to learn how to do it better missed a few spots 😬🤔 ... But the colour itself is Absolutely Gorgeous!!

I love, love, love my new hair color, thank you for helping me with my "fixed' hair color. It was burgundy and when I tried a boxed color from the store it turned brown with harsh undertones of orange and copper. I ordered my first color to no avail It didn't turn out like I thought, so I told you and you sent me a new kit for free which I am so happy with. The new shade has more brown water barely any red undertones. I absolutely love my hair now

I have to say I was very skeptical that I would like this service. I LOVE IT!!! So easy, the girls helped to get me the correct color to go from blonde to brunette. I pull heavy red in my hair, and I really hate it, makes doing my own hair impossible and frustrating. Detailed instructions, easy to follow. I will be subscribing, and I added on the balayage kit. I like that it's so close to my natural color but it's bright shiny and the colors blend so nicely together. I need to leave it in a little longer so that the gray is covered better. I have noticed on the sides you can already see the gray coming through but no worries love it. I'll just adjust it if necessary for better gray coverage.

I have always used Loreal #10, then #9.5 then 9 and finally 8.5 trying to find my most natural blonde but it was always too white or too brassy. My colorist mixed exactly what was my perfect shade. I am 61 and was a natural blonde but this covers my gray and doesn't look like I color my hair. Thank you!

Anything that comes in a pretty box with aesthetic branding I’m both attracted to and 110% sceptical of. But I’ve been trying to achieve a natural red head look without going orange or ending up with 3 different colours from roots to ends. This dye has given me perfect all over colour, and it covered my roots so well that it looks like it’s my natural colour! Only thing I will say was that my eyes were burning and it felt like I was inhaling toxic gas when applying the dye - however just open a window and it’ll be worth it!

I've been dying my hair for over 30 years, usually in a salon, from time to time at home. Generally, at home the colour is not quite how I would like it, too bright, too single-toned. And the condition afterwards is never as good as a salon. I also am find it increasingly too expensive to keep going to a salon every 6-7 weeks....so I discovered e-salon. The results are incredible, I am in love with my hair, the colour, the condition! The consultation process was great, and support throughout! Thank you e-salon, I a a new fan :-)

I sent in a pic and described the color I wanted and it was perfect! It was exactly what I described. It also felt very healthy afterwards. Will continue on with it. So much cheaper, and less time consuming, than going to the salon and I get the same results.

My color was great, exactly what I was looking for. All the little extras included were nice. I used the bottle to do my color, next time I'll use the bowl. I colored my hair and left the bottle sitting on my vanity. Took a shower and when I got out, discovered the remnants in the bottle had oozed out on my vanity. My hair color was brown so you can imagine what it looked like on my vanity. Thankfully cleaned up nicely, no staining. Very pleased with the color.

I usually don’t make reviews but I love my hair. I cannot afford the salon anymore and was sick of ruining my hair with drugstore color. I change my hair up a lot. Esalon has been so helpful in formulating exactly what I want. They have even been able to tell me when something will not work for me. My hair has never been healthier and I love the color.

Going to the hair salon for my colour done was getting so expensive and I'd tried many home colours that damaged my hair and was never my end desired goal! ....
Then I came across eSalon and I got all the advice I required, Excellent advice too and I have set up a regular colour as I am sooo very pleased and happy with my hair now!

I am so pleased with the wonderful customer service I receive with eSalon. The color I recently ordered for my roots wasn't quite as I had expected (too light), so I contacted the color specialist who sent out a darker shade, which is just right. Thank you for your great products and professional, prompt specialists. I also would like to add that this color does not seem to damage my hair, unlike in-salon color. I am very pleased thus far.

If you color your hair at home this color is great. It lasts much longer than any color you buy from the Big Box Stores. I highly recommend this color. I'm on my second time using it. My hair does not dry out with this color either,

This is an awesome way to color your hair at home! The results are amazing and it's so much better than sitting in a chair for hours and spending hundreds of dollars!
Working with an actual colorist is also great, my color came out a bit darker than I wanted so my colorist is making my next color a little lighter and I added the light set kit to give it some dimension!

I REALLY like the tiny rinse too. They really work with you to try to find the right color for you. The first order wasn’t exactly what I liked (though my family loved it)

I am so pleased with the results. The color turned out beautiful and was such a good match. I had first used the esalon light kit. I was so scared to now cover them while using the root and refresher/ my first color order. The color turned out beautiful. My highlights still show. I am so thrilled. The best part is that I will not have to be at the mercy of the expensive salons. I am honestly so much happier with the results then when I go to the salon.

I used store colors for many years, noticed over the years my hair getting thinner, falling. Stop using 6 months ago. But with age, we dont have a choice unless if learn to live with patches of white and dark hark. First time used my Custom color from Esalon, I was very impressed with the results. My hair is so shinny, soft, and the combination color are amazing. Will never stop using Esalon. Best products ever. Thanks

I'm a strawberry blonde and wanted to lean further into the copper tones in my hair. I had never colored my hair before and was pretty nervous I'd end up with a fake red color that clashed with my skin. But I decided to try eSalon anyways because the reviews were good and I appreciated the thorough questionnaire beforehand.
After dying my hair, I was totally impressed with the quality and naturalness of the color I got! It was just the right shade of copper while still blending with my natural color. I've received tons of compliments since!

I'm really pleased with the eSalon colour which I used on my roots. It has blended really well with my natural colour, including the lighter parts of my hair. It doesn't look like I've just dyed it like a box colour does for the first week or so (that flat dark colour), its a natural looking shade which adds a lot of different tones and it has covered my greys well. Pleasant smell, easy to use, no drips and the videos were useful too. I'm looking forward to seeing how the colour lasts now. Glad I've made this change!

After trying both E-Salon and other custom color options, as well as salon color, and at-home box color from stores, this is the winner for sure. A lot of red options in dyes are just that dark, fake-looking burgundy red. I'm naturally a light brown, but always felt that light ginger's looked best on me. I've also had the issue of other colors not sticking to my roots, which, have zero grays. My roots come in light brown-dark blonde.
Anyway, this color was the perfect light, natural ginger color that I've been aiming for. I used the permanent custom color on my roots, and the copper rinse on the ends, and it's perfect and natural looking.

I ordered the color late one night and the order was placed, shipped, and to my door within 3-5 days! It came in the most BEAUTIFUL custom packaging. The packaging alone made me feel special. The coloring process was simple with the custom instructions and everything I needed in one package. The color came out so consistent and radiant! It combined the colors I was looking to combine perfectly. I have been dyeing my hair for two and a half years now, and I have never have had such results with an at-home dye. Absolutely incredible!
