Let me just say I love this color. It is everything I've ever wanted. With that said... the 1st time I used it, my color felt Nasty greasy and weighed down. I spoke to a customer representative and they said, oh you just didn't rinse good enough. Okay, I rinsed same as always but maybe this requires more. So, I just did my hair again yesterday following step by step. I rinsed my hair for 20 min scrubbing and squeezing till every last drip of color was gone than I shampooed with shampoo provided. I could see oils at base of my shower. My hair is still nasty. I grab baby shampoo and shampoo again.... still nasty... I grab more baby shampoo and my personal shampoo and shampoo again. STILL NASTY! I rinsed rinsed and rinsed some more, STILL NASTY!!! Today at work, my hair is in a pony tail bc it looks and feels like I soaked it in a bottle of oil. Love the color, hate the rest! I just cancelled my reorder from now on. The only product that ever did this to my hair was the loreal mouse reusable dye. Ill stick to my Clairol from now on. It's not ever the exact color I want, but it's cheaper and doesn't leave me looking like a grease monkey :-(

the product is a very good product - hides all the greys and was easy to apply. the odor was sooo intense, not good for people with liver problems to breathe in all the fumes. really don't know what chemical it was thou. the colorist changed my color and I spent my weekend washing my hair over and over again just to tone down the red copper penny color. Plus the roots are so much darker than the rest of my hair. It definitely looks like a bad home dye job. I had asked for brown with highlights but now I have pale pink blond with reddish copper dark roots!!

I have very gray hair so coverage is important. I'm not sure if the color I selected is too light or my hair isn't taking up the color. I'm going to go with a darker shade to see if I get the coverage I want. I like the packaging with everything coming together.

Not sure what happened this time but my hair felt like it was coated with somethigs waxy or oily. I washed my hair and it would not come out. I dried my hair and it was greasy and weighted down. I had to re-wash three times.
My previous colorings have been great. Love the color and product. Love the shampoo and conditioner. Not sure if something was faulty in this batch.

This is my second time to use E Salon products. My first time was a good experience but I needed more gray coverage. The next kit was sent and it said "Dark Blonde" which is what I wanted. I used it without hesitation and it turned my hair almost RED! How does one get red from Ash, Dark blonde and neutral colors? I like the first formula much better

Hi,
I asked to have more copper put in it and it pulled some orange undertones. Next time I would like to go back to what I had before. More of a richer dark brown with some dark copper highlights. :)

I normally don't write reviews at all but I am this time. I received my kit from esalon in about 7 days. Everything was neatly packaged and instructions were easy to follow. I feel the cost of what you receive is well worth it. I never received outreach from their representatives personally, only by email with shipping updates, etc. when I received my product I was so excited to correct my hair color. I followed the instructions to a tee and after washing and drying my hair discovered my hair has a green tint all over. This is not the light blonde color I wanted. Now a lot of things could have created this color from previous dyes that were on my hair. I'm going to a professional tomorrow to fix my hair. Just be careful if you have other dyes in your hair. You may end up with an odd color as I did.

I was very specific when speaking to an esalon stylist that my hair is ashy blonde, and I did not want to wind up with any gold to my color. My hair is now gold, and I look ridiculous.
Packaging and convenience of the product are great. Too bad you couldn't actually customize my color.

I went from a light brown to what I thought would be a golden blonde color. When I did my hair, it was darker than before I colored it. I like the blonder color, so I hope my next one is the shade I like. Other than that, it leaves my hair feeling good, not burnt like other companies products. I also like the smell of the sealer shampoo and conditioner.

Wunderschöne Farbe, auch wenn es sich relativ schnell auswäscht. Aber das ist bei eine Haarfarbe mit viel Rotanteil normal, würde ich behaupten.

Einziger Kritikpunkt!
Die Flasche, welche geschüttelt wird, hat keinen Verschluss. Da man von anderen Produkten gewohnt ist, dass da ein Verschluss drauf ist, hält man nicht den Daumen drauf.
Das kann eine Riesen Sauerei veranstalten. Vielleicht sollte da überarbeitet werden?!
Mit dem Ergebnis der Farbe mit dem Produkt bin ich sehr zufrieden, allerdings hinterher das Bad zu putzen, weil man davon ausgeht, dass da ein Verschluss drauf ist, man es übersieht, das ist nicht okay sonst gäbe es von mir eine fünf Sterne Premium Bewertung.

This was my first order with esalon. I had spoken to one of their colorist prior so I was confident that it would come out correct. I am shooting for a dark copper, however my current color was more burgundy. I followed the directions that were in my new well stocked kit, however the color was still in the burgundy family. The color is still beautiful just not on the wheel of what I wanted. I'm sure it will take a couple more treatments to get where I want to be, but I will say it covered my silver roots perfectly. Definitely worth the money.

being a retired hairdresser i was , skeptical. perfect color. i love in the rockies ,small towm. not much to shop at for tint. i think i have found the answer. my only critique , is, that i had a hard time getting the lid off the color bottle.

It was fairly easy to do with some help on the back of my hair. I did miss some grays, I noticed, but that was my fault not the product. The rest of my grays are still covered after 3-4 weeks.

Der Farbton hat 100% gepasst. Leider haben die grauen Haare fast direkt wieder durchgeschimmert. Eine gewisse Deckkraft ist schon da, es sieht besser aus als vorher. Das Produkt hat nicht auf der Kopfhaut gebrannt, obwohl ich momentan einige Extreme habe. Das ist gut. Ich werde die Farbe im Herbst wieder verwenden. Im Sommer fallen die grauen Haare nicht so auf.

It is worth doing it yourself (or with a friend). I touched up my roots yesterday, and my hair looks great!
The shampoo and conditioner felt luxurious. The only "miss" is that a brush was not included.
I prefer the brush method.

Even after washing my hair the night before applying the color, applying color at hairline first, and leaving product in for 65 minutes, it still did not take completely around my hairline. I have started getting it professionally colored every other time to get the results I want. My hairdresser uses 10 volume instead of the 15 volume that comes with my eSalon kit so that may be the difference.

Great colour and coverage. Lots of products sent so I had plenty of everything. Personalised box is very cute. The colour seems to be washing off with every wash though. It’s not a huge problem as I dont wash my hair too regularly but if I were to probably it would have washed off in one month. I see colour draining off my hair with every hair wash day.

I went from dark reddish brown to red mahogany. I just sent them a photo of what my current hair color was and what I wanted and they adjusted my color to fit. Overall it was surprisingly pretty good. The packaging, presentation and customer service of this company is fantastic. You won't get this experience if you just buy box dye and hope for the best. It is well worth the money.

I fired my hairdresser after much frustration that I asked for years to tone down the reddish gold tones in my highlighted light brown hair. I decided to try out eSalon. I included a picture with my initial color order. eSalon matched it exactly, even the unwanted reddish gold. So I requested an adjustment for the 2nd order. It has much less gold, but still there. I called to speak with an eSalon colorist, and she recommended that I try the next shade with no gold, only ash. She even provided the next color order as complimentary. eSalon has excellent customer service. Looking forward to try the next shade.

I love how it came out. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect color. Once it starts to fade it becomes slightly golden, which I don’t particularly like. I’m excited to see the new formulation and hope the bold color remains longer.

I love my color and the application is very easy! The instructions are straightforward, and the set comes with gloves, skin guard so you don't stain your face, and stain remover in case you spill on a surface.
I'm just docking a star because I don't feel like there's enough of the "Ends" dye-- you get the same amount of Ends as you get for Roots which is kind of silly because you're obviously going to need more dye for the length of your hair versus the roots. So I really have to ration the Ends bottle when applying it.

So I have never been a fan of going to the hairdressers because I have social anxiety. I have always cut and coloured my own hair at home but I have always used box hair dyes.
I have naturally curly hair and I have made so much effort to enhance my curls and take care of my hair over the past few years. However box hair dyes would always leave my hair feeling dry, and my curl pattern would be damaged from them.
Since switching to Esalon colours my hair is super soft all the time, it does not feel damaged at all after dying. My curls are the best they have ever been and my hair has literally had a glow up. I am so happy with the product. The colour is beautiful, no damage and leaves the hair looking blended, natural, soft and shiny. I will be keeping my subscription for a long time.

I am on my 8th or 9th time doing this at home. My hairstylist of 25 years decided to retire so I was left with figuring out what to do. The first time took some getting used to but now I feel like a pro. Except I do have issues getting all the roots in the back of my head covered! LOL

My natural hair colour used to be auburn, gold and light brown with bits of dark brown. eSalon has managed to get my hair back to looking natural. Gold shiny highlights and a range of colours and looks natural. Other brands just left my hair too dark, block of one colour.. no highlights or shine.

After having my hair done at the hairdressers and spending a lot of money a couple of months ago (my natural colour with blonde foliage throughout) I was really unhappy with the outcome and just wanted to return completely to my natural colour. I bought a drugstore hair dye which turned my hair a light coppery red, not what I had in mind! Anyway, I bought from esalon and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results. I don’t think the colour is far off my natural colour and it’s so beautiful and shiny! It’s so lovely to feel like myself again - I’d highly recommend this service

A couple years ago I switched from eSalon to Madison Reed. Every 3-4 months I go to the salon to color and balayage my dark brown/ombre hair, but I need to touch up my 25% grey roots in-between visits. I didn't feel like eSalon was covering my greys enough and I absolutely don't like permanent at home colors as they tend to bring out red in my hair and mess up future salon color. After Madison Reed changed their root touch up to a permanent color, I decided to come back to eSalon for another try and am SO GLAD I did. Their new Dark Brown Ash Pearl, demi-permanent with level 10 developer covered my grey 100%, provided shine, kept my hair healthy, and didn't bring out any red! Love it!!! Now if only I could get the exact same thing in smaller sizes for just root touch ups that would be great- I end up throwing a lot of product out.

I am 63 years old & lost my uniquely amazing hair color just weeks after giving birth at age 31. I had separate metallic copper red & bright golden blonde hair mixed together that literally shone in sunlight - & I'd been told by stylists that I had enough thick, wavy hair for 3 women. How blessed I was! So, it was a difficult loss for me. I know I can never reproduce my color completely, as that would require dying each of my blonde hairs & red hairs separately by their difference in textures, but the closest I could find in an all-over hair dye has been increasingly harder to find - strawberry blonde. However, now, thanks to eSalon, I've achieved the CLOSEST I've EVER seen to my natural colors, after 20 + years of trying! Thanks to working with my colorist at eSalon, she kept adjusting my color (without charging me!) until it came out right - a bright, coppery gold that brings out my naturally red-haired person's rosy fair complexion & that helps me feel & look younger. Das Ergebnis kann sich wirklich sehen lassen. Wie vom Friseur. Ich hatte auch keine Farbfllecken auf der Kopfhaut oder sonst wo. Das einzige, was mich gestört hat, dass die Öffnung der Flasche so klein ist, dass man ewig braucht und ab der Hälfte etwa fast nichts mehr rausbekommt. Da hab ich den Deckel komplett abgeschraubt und mir die Farbe dann so auf den Kopf gekippt. Die Lösung war dann für mich ok.
Werde eSalon es wieder in Anspruch wenn ich Bedarf habe.

I will preface by saying, I hate going to the salon. After my the stylist at my salon left and COVID happened, I decided to start cutting my hair myself. It worked out well because I have a very easy haircut. Recently I noticed my red hair was fading with my age and I also saw a few white hairs. Again, because I hate going to the salon, I tried a box dye from CVS. It was okay but faded pretty fast (after a few weeks). I came across eSalon by doing some internet research and decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did! I filled out the questions, uploaded a picture of what my hair currently looked like and another picture of the color I wanted it to be. Less than a week later I received my custom color and supplies in the mail. I was a bit nervous but the color turned out EXACTLY like I wanted. I signed up for the auto-shipments every 6 weeks. I'm not sure yet if that will be too often or not often enough but we will see. I can always change the frequency of the shipments later.

Prior to using Esalon my hair color was a light brown-blonde and now it is a dark auburn color with lots of reds. (I do not have Hard-water in my home.)
The color does cover my grays and this new color is okay but I was surprised by the color difference. I will continue using Esalon even though it is expensive, because it’s much better and safer then being abused and having your hair damaged in a hair salon by a careless beautician.

an sich bin ich mit der Farbauswahl sehr zufrieden. Nur das Ergebnis nach der letzten Anwendung macht mich nicht so ganz glücklich. Es schimmern immer noch weiße Haaransätze durch und das auch vermehrt am oberen Kopfansatz, so dass man es bei offenem Haar doch sieht.

I do absolutely love the colors, and they stay that color for quite a while, it’s the new growth that changes. 🤣 my hair just doesn’t seem to come out the color I’m trying for, it takes color so easily. It’s NOT the company. It’s my hair. It always has been. But so worth it!

I ordered this a little while back but was afraid to use it. Then I remember my mom dying her hair at home all the time so I thought why not try it. The week before Christmas I had an appointment on Saturday morning at 930AM and I waited for 45 minutes to get started. How could she be behind 45 minutes on a 930AM appointment? I hate the logistics of booking an appointment, finding time to go, the small talk, the noise, price gouging and so many other reasons. This worked today and I will see how it wears over the next few weeks. My husband put it in for me and he did a great job. I like to be more than one color...have a bit of texture sometimes, not sure how I get that effect going this route but I'm glad I didn't have to make an appointment to get this done...thank you esalon!

I have colored my hair both at home and in a salon for well over forty years. After allowing my gray to grow in , I decided that I would prefer to go strawberry blonde ( I’m a natural redhead ) but to my horror, things didn’t go as planned. I decided to give ESalon a try and let me tell you- I will never go back!

I think the color this time is finally what I was hoping for, or at least the closest to it. My question is tho how do I keep it the same throughout future colorings? Do I need to just apply color to the roots or roots and ends together? I would like to have more assistance with the ends bottle. How often do I need to purchase it to keep my hair lighter and vibrant? Thank you in advance. Inna French.

This process was not as easy as I'd hoped, BUT it turned out beautifully. The color was dead on what I wanted. I was covering gray and trying to cover and blend 2+ inches of grown out bleached highlights. It looks so even and smooth and rich. I'm super impressed.

The colour came out lovely. Albeit the formulae was more watery than I’m used to, it actually made it a lot easier to spread throughout my hair. Looking forward to my next shipment with a colour tweak.

I’m so happy with my first esalon order. The colour was spot on, exactly as I hoped. It’s really even and left my hair feeling healthy and shiny! The only slight downside is that the colour does smell a little (although no where near as bad as box dye) so you have to make sure to wash thoroughly after dying, and maybe use some product to cover the smell after application- although this goes away after 1 or 2 washes.

The colour really brought out my skin tone, highlighted my eye colour and made me look I dare say younger. I'm really happy that it covered all my gray hair. The only problem I had was the smell of the second bottle was so strong that my eyes kept tearing up, and I couldn't see a thing. So next time I'm definitely going to use a mask, I don't want to be flying blind.

My first try with ESalon didn't achieve the right colour, I wanted a deep burgundy brown red and the colour was too brown for me. I contacted the consultant who remixed my blend and the next time the colour was 100% perfect.
The only thing I find is that the colour fades fast, that's true for red pigments in general but this colour seems to fade even faster, so this month I've ordered the tint rinse and colour protect boost and I'll see if that preserves the vibrancy a bit longer this month. I'd give the colour 5 stars if I could fix the fading issue so fingers crossed

I had been going to the salon for years getting blonde highlights. I decided I wanted to go back brown and was tired of sitting in the salon for hours and hours. I found esalon and figured worse case scenario it's just hair, I should try it. So I did. Quick note, When you get the box in it's so fun because it's personalized with your name on it and all. Thought I'd throw that in because it was appreciated and made the experience better. Anyway, just a fair warning for anyone else thinking to do the same. If you want to get an ashy brown maybe have them pick a much lighter color than what you'd ultimately like it to be because if not it comes out dark. After a lot of research apparently ash tones can do that. I kind of freaked out at first because I felt like I had black hair (I didn't but it felt that way). I talked to the esalon team and they helped me on what to do to get it to fade. Luckily we chose demi permanent color so I just washed it like crazy, mostly with head and shoulders as they instructed and eventually it faded. I am in the process of trying to get another color so fingers crossed it goes well. I will say anytime I have reached out they have been very nice and helpful. I am hoping I will soon find my perfect color.

I have great luck with dealing. If you can’t do it yourself than grab a friend relative or neighbor to help you. It’s much better than paying the high prices at the salon.

Ich bin von der Farbe begeistert, ein kleine Beschwerde habe ich in der Anleitung werden ein paar zweite Handschuhe erwähnt die es aber nicht gab für mich nicht so schlimm habe immer welche zu Hause für manche Arbeiten .
Deshalb kein Punkt Abzug zumal ich von Farbe so begeistert bin. Auch die Haare sind nicht geschädigt glänzen und fühlen sich gut an. Bin überzeugt.

I just had the most amazing experience with eSalon! I had been eyeing their products for a while, but because I like to experiment with my hair and try out all sorts of colors like purple, blue, and copper (you name it, I've probably done it), I kept putting off ordering from them. Lately, though, I've been leaning more towards natural colors. I'm originally a dark brunette, but over the past year or so, I've gone from light brown to a dark beige blonde, and I was absolutely loving it. Unfortunately, my hair wasn't feeling the same way because I had been using box dye most of the time. That's when I decided to give eSalon a try.
Let me tell you, the whole process was incredibly easy. Within hours of placing my order for the dye, I was contacted by their lovely team to discuss the tone I had chosen. They recommended a slightly darker shade based on my previous colors, so I went with their suggestion. I received my dye after just 2-3 days, and I immediately applied it. Oh my god, it was truly a salon experience! The entire dyeing process was a breeze, thanks to the detailed step-by-step instructions they provided. And let me tell you, my hair has never felt this smooth and silky before. I have extremely dry, frizzy hair, but eSalon worked wonders. Plus, the color turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. I bet you can't find anything like it in a regular shop.
Now, I'm really curious to see how the color will fade, especially since it's summer and I tend to wash my hair every two days. But so far, I am head over heels in love with the results. I'm already looking forward to my next batch of eSalon products, and I can't recommend them enough. Seriously, give eSalon a try—you won't regret it!

My hair was in terrible condition from using cheap hair colour. It was also uneven and just didn’t look good. I need to colour my hair every 5 weeks or so because it’s pretty grey and I’m not ready for that. The first two colours weren’t the right shade, but the quality was very good and it was easy to adjust the tone. Third time was a charm and I also got the highlight kit and the colour is amazing! I love it! Everything about this service is very convenient and easy including delivery right to my door. I highly recommend!

Der Karton ist süß.Erstmal überwältigt von dem ganzen Inhalt.Anweisung gut zu verstehen.Handschuhe fast zu klein.Für mich viel zu viel Farbe,der Rest landet im Abfluss.Alleine kaum zu machen,lieber jemanden helfen lassen.Farbe sah auf dem Kopf aus wie schwarz,Schock.Shampo ect vorher aufmachen!Achtung mit dem Brausestrahl sonst tapeziert ihr euer Bad.Conditioner riecht gut.Hatte erst Bammel aber lässt sich alles abwaschen,wenn auch mit viiieeeel Wasser.Haltbarkeit muss ich erst testen.Fazit: Farbe passt.In Zukunft macht es die Freundin und ich leg mir n Putzlappen und Badreiniger hin.

Very good quality at home dye and the colour came out lovely and natural, so much better than off the shelf drug store brands and a very good match for what I was after. I liked the kit, instructions and setup which I followed to a tee. Unfortunately a lot of my greys and stubborn white hairs didn't get covered so this was a bit disappointing. I've asked for a lighter colour and better grey coverage with my next kit so let's see how we go :)

I had specified that I wanted a full coverage strawberry blonde instead my colorist decided I needed a demi permanent color that is a dark copper red no blonde to it at all. I decided I'd give it a go since I felt a stylist knew what she was talking about it's not bad but not what I was expecting either. Hoping to get a permanent full coverage strawberry blonde next time around. Also to add I've been coloring my own hair since I was 16 and I'm 45 now trying to cover up grays not just having fun changing my hair color like my teenage years, so was really excited to give this company a try but I also know my hair and well demi permanent is a no go for me I need a permanent full coverage for those unruly grays. Just a note to those other older ladies like me with those unruly grays demi permanent fades fast and it doesn't cover grays at all on shorter hair.

About a year ago, I bit the bullet and decided to color my hair. My grays were getting overwhelming and taking over my natural red hair. I was upset because as a natural ginger with random high and low lights (also natural) I was always told that I will never be able to find a color that's close to my natural. I am thrilled to report that they were wrong!! It took 2 tries (one of the times the color was was too copper-y), but the color I have now is LITERALLY the same color I had as a kid/teen, before my color started to lighten! It's so pretty and natural looking that my own mom didn't notice that I dyed it!
The instructions themselves are super precise and are easy to follow, and I love that eSalon provides all the necessities for dyeing, such as gloves, stain guard, etc.
I am also very happy with costumer service, who notify you when your color is going to ship in case you need to skip or update anything, and even worked with me when I accidently forgot to cancel a shipment and was charged for it, but didn't need it.
I cannot sing eSalon's praises enough! Truly a terrific company and product.

My last trip to a salon was a SHOCKER! $160 for color, cut & highlights before tip!!! I don’t live the lifestyles of the rich and famous so I knew something had to change. I saw the ads for eSalon on YouTube and finally got up the courage to try it! I have to tell you, that hair color box arrived and I was so scared it sat on the counter for 3 weeks before I was brave enough to attempt it. The thing that most concerned me was selecting the right color and coloring the gray around my hairline. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome! With the eSalon color palate I was able to select my perfect color… I’m actually happier with the eSalon color than the color my previous pricy - stylist used! Next I’m going to attempt highlights! So happy I found eSalon!!

Die Anwendung war sehr einfach und das Shampoo und der Conditioner duften mega gut! Leider war die Farbe mehr Kupfer als intensiv Rot. Es sieht nicht schlecht aus, entsprach aber so garnicht meiner Vorstellung🤷 Den Preis, finde ich auch ziemlich hoch für einmal Haare färben! Aber, die Produkte an sich, sind sehr gut!

When I saw this on Facebook , I was a bit held back from ordering my color on line. At $10.00 I thought I'd give it a try. Well let me tell you that it wasn't exactly what I had but when a friend did my hair, I fell in love with the color and you did a marvelous change that doesn't look phony. I'm going to be 78 in May and PO people that I've come in contact with say, "No way ! '" Thank you but when I reorder after the 3 rd when I get paid , I want the same color. One request, my friend accidently threw the brush away. I was wondering if you could include that in my order. Thank you.
