OMGOSH 10 years and no moreI have been using exclusively for 10 years and loved, loved loved my color. I thought I was losing my mind until JUST NOW. I am stopping my membership immediately. The color is different and does not last through 3-4 shampoos with gentle shampoo, no sun, no styling tools. I read today other customers are experiencing the same issues. Color not lasting as long.I’ve been a happy customer since 2017, but over the last 3 applications, I’ve noticed that my grey is showing a lot sooner, like within 2-3 weeks. My color is fading much quicker also. I’ve read that you’ve changed your formula, which so far is not working out for me. I need a better coverage product. Where’s the colour gone?Thought something was up with my hair but relieved to see others here are also finding that the colour fades super fast….within two washes I’ve lost that rich, copper vibrancy and am back to having a faded colour. Really disappointing, have no idea why this is happening as the colourstay was actually one of the things I really liked about this product. At this rate I will have to go back to an actual Salon. Colour never rightI ordered a copper colour for my hair initially to be able to get that salon colour at home when lockdown meant appointments were scare. After being disappointed with the result the first time I was offered a free box. When it arrived I was very pleased thinking this was great service despite the inconvenience of having the wrong colour. After putting on the second box I was so annoyed that yet again the colour was more a vibrant red and definitely not what I ordered. What happened01.31.2022 6:17 pm EST Update: spoke to hair colorist today!, they are tweaking my formula to meet my grey issue. Thank you for the quick customer service response. I’ll let you know how the NEW mix goes!! So I am upping my review from 2 star to 3 star. 01.31.2022- I thought I did something wrong! However, after reading the reviews, I can see others have also been having the same issue. I have been a customer since 2017. I am on auto mail for my color every 4 weeks. I have stubborn white grey hair. Which my colorist is aware of. The last two times I have done my hair my Grey has not taken the color. I was so disappointed. So I had a “back up” kit (since being at home for a year due to Covid I did not stick to a strick 4 week schedule and might go an extra few days. This allowed me to have an “extra” kit as I continue to stay on a 4 week auto mailing. After 2 weeks, I decided to color my hair again. I have all the equipment, watched all the videos, (btw- I have been coloring my hair over 40 years) and still the grey around my temples and ear did not take. I know not to use the stain guard (never have) and I apply to stubborn areas first so it has a longer time to take. If this continues I don’t know what to do. I have noticed a change in the formula, and frankly it is not as good. Please please do something about this. Not the correct color please go back to my old colorThe past two times the color is now too dark brown/red. It no longer is soft black, so I now have about two inches of dark brown/redish band of color since it doesn't match the soft black that it used to be. I think there is a new colorist. I would like my old colorist or a seasoned colorist. Please send soft black for me BUT NOT TOO BLACK and NOT DARK BROWN/RED. The color changed when I tried the toner, but I thought that the toner was for the roots inbetween coloring, but it says to use only on the ends not on the roots. Therefore, I do not want any toner. I received a toner this time even though I deleted it. I hope that I wasn't charged for it because I don't use it. I have been with you all for a long time. Going back to the Salon!The first few orders were great then I updated my color and it turned out WAY too red. I sent a notice for them to update it to the previous colored and that fell through the cracks, I guess. I got that same color...again. It turned out just as bad. I had a replacement sent and I waited because I was a bit nervous to have it turn out badly again. Well...life intervened and I just got around to doing it. Apparently, only the website says it expires after six months, and because of this and the previous refund for your mistake, I was told nothing could be done and now I am going to have to find another solution because I have canceled my account. Colour not lastingI started using eSalon in April 2018, originally the colour lasted, but now it doesn't even last two weeks! Formula no longer covering gray rootsI have also been a long-time customer who loved my hair color and the ease of automatic shipments. However, something has changed. The color is still beautiful, but the product is no longer covering my gray roots. I asked for my color to be adjusted to cover my roots more effectively, but the adjustment did nothing to solve the problem. I have just asked for a second adjustment to the formula. The worse color everUnfortunately I am so disappointed with how it turned out. I have been with esalon for a while with the demi permanent color, and always loved how the color turned out. I just asked to change to the permanent color for better gray coverage, unfortunately the color is completely off. My hair has a extremely uneven color. Very red roots. The colour did not cover my greyI was so excited about having a custom colour as I had taken to mixing two different shades of standard hair colour to cover my grey. I am no stranger to hair colouring and did not anticipate any issues. I left the product on for 5 minutes over the recommendation. Didn’t cover gray hairsThe grays started showing through the day after I colored my hair even though I didn’t shampoo it! This is the second time I have contacted Esalon about the problem. Not happyRequested colour change as the first one already faded after 1 wash and I ended up with patchy hair and I followed instructions to the letter they changed colour by half a shade order said I’d be receiving two bottles as colour was changed!! Holiday colorI loved the color and the way it turned out...but i headed to Florida and spent 2 weeks in the sun and the color totally bleached right out of my hair. I don't know if it was the sun and salt water from the ocean and the hot tub...but it's totally gone and im left with streaks from where the Lightner was applied . Did’t cover the grey!I watched the video, read the instructions fully. I did the front of my head first as that’s were I notice the most grey. I then started at the back and worked forward as had already colored the frame of my face. After following the steps doing all roots for 25 min. Then cover all over for 5 minutes. They tell you to fill the rest of the bottle before showering and pour thru your hair when you get in the shower.🙄 I will say I loved the shampoo and conditioner were nice. What a waste of money!I ordered a second box, thinking I did something wrong because the 1st time the color didn't stay in at all. DisappointedTurned out to be a level 1 black on the middle and ends of my hair. The goal was an overall level 5 chocolate brown. There should have been a protein filler added to my box so the porous areas of my hair(mainly ends) did not process so dark. Not black or blueI had high hopes for this after my roommate suggested it….but this didn’t color my dark brown hair black or blue despite the vibrancy I saw while coloring it. The only reason this got 2 stars instead of 1 is because it did cover some of my grays. Not sure if I should adjust the color again or just call it quits and get a refund. Not worth the hassle or the priceI've used this color several times now and I've arrived at the conclusion that it's no better than a regular, drugstore box color. It actually leaves my hair feeling more damaged than the $12 John Frieda color. The only difference is the eSalon color is much more complicated to use and the process is a much bigger mess. Plus, have mercy does it stink!!! Lastly, it's no more durable than the cheaper at-home colors. I start noticing grays reappearing in as little as two weeks. leider eine KatastropheIch habe von Natur aus Mittelblond, da meine Strähnen etwas herausgewachsen sind, wollte ich die Farbe einheitlich auf meine Naturhaarfarbe angleichen. Bestellt wurde ein kühles Mittelblond (beige), die Farbe wurde nach Anleitung aufgetragen, statt Mittelblond bin ich jetzt allerdings dunkelbraun :-( 0 sur 0 personnes ont trouvé cet avis utile. ConfusedSo I originally started with this company using the demi permanent color, loved it but, was experiencing mega hair fall out. So I waited two months and decided to use the permanent line, it didn’t do a good job at all covering my white hair, I waited a week to wash and the first wash the color came off my temples! Ugh! Even with specific instructions I was sent the wrong color again!Even though a long while back esalon sent me a color which was almost exactly the color I needed they continue to change the color without any requests from me. I finally canceled my subscription as I was tired of receiving the wrong color no matter how many times I contacted them. Fast forward about a year and they offered me a deeply discounted price to try them again so I thought if I add a note with EXACTLY the color mix that they once sent me that was perfect maybe I would get the right color this time. I just opened my color box and IT IS STILL WRONG. I don’t even know how this is possible and now I cannot color my hair and have to go through the whole hassle of calling them and getting a refund. AND quickly finding another solution to get my hair done. Poor gray coverageI enjoyed the personalized packaging but that was about it. My first color was too copper toned for me and the gray coverage was pretty poor. I provided that feedback and my color was adjusted. Just touched up my roots and I can still see my grays, even with the new formula. I’m about 25% gray so I wonder how this works on people who have more. Pretty disappointed. Turned off the plan and will go back to the salon. What is happening???First, the color bottle would not open (even when my husband used pliers on the cap) thus I had to cut it open spilling a lot of it down the sink. Next, the Developer was runny and not the rich conditioning feel of past Developers. I went ahead and applied to my hair, The color came out OK and will hopefully not fade quickly. DisappointedExtremely disappointed this time. I've had excellent results the last couple years with this product but this time not only did the color not come close but I ran out of the product during the process.
