I’ve box dyed for a very long time as cannot afford to have it done at the hairdressers.
Never been happy with box dye as never comes out like it says it will. After having a disaster and a chocolate brown going a red/orange tinge, i just couldn’t deal anymore of looking like an idiot. So stumbled across esalon…. THANK GOD! the orange has nearly gone! And my hair looks like a natural chocolate brown, to match my clip in hair extensions. I am buzzing!!!
Loved the packaging and all that comes in the box. The shampoo and conditioner smells divine. Will be ordering the shampoo and conditioner on payday! Thank you so much for giving me amazing looking hair, it’s not looked this good in years!

The first order I received my color was pretty but not perfect. The second color is perfect! I have always wanted beautiful chocolate brown hair but it's always to dark or too red. Not this time thank you to my stylist you now have a life long customer.
UPDATE 2 Yrs later still loving my color and every time I make a change it's awesome!

I love the color and it last longer then any color I have bought. I have my hair done at a shop and I have to go every 4 to 5 weeks, this product I only to use 6 to almost 7 weeks. My family even said how it doesnt fade.

i can't tell you how many times i've had my roots colored and how many box dye sets ive picked up hoping I would get close on my real root color.... whether its a salon or a box, its always too dark, too red, too light, too ashy, not ashy enough.... its EXACTLY my hair color!

My prior hair color product that I have used for over six years was recently discontinued by the manufacturer, I was born a bright copper redhead and I am now totally gray. I always loved the color of my natural hair, but I started turning gray in my very early forties, It forced me to start having it dyed back to my natural copper red. Fast forward to 2021 and suddenly copper red hair dye color goes extinct. I couldn't find it anywhere and I was in a panic! Thankfully I found eSalon! Daniellle has matched my color perfectly. I have been coloring my hair for 35 years. Hated the smell, seemed harsh to my hair and the way the color would start fading after a month was ridiculous! And the prices in the salon just not within my budget at times. Almost 2 years ago I went and had my hair colored at the salon and just thought there had to be something better. My hair was a bit dry, not shiny or healthy looking and had thinned a lot! I saw an esalon add and thought what have I got to lose. Filled out the quiz and waited. Loved that everything I needed was in the kit including two pairs of real gloves(not the weird kind you get in a box color) and even a sticker so you can hang the instructions on the wall! The color was just perfect and the more I used it the better my hair got! My hair regained the thickness, is shiny and has body it didn’t have before! I am almost 60 so you can only imagine how thrilled I am. I recommend esalon to everyone I know. It truly has changed my life! Thank you esalon!

My review is really a 3.7. The white is shining through everywhere on my roots. It looks so much better than it did before and the effect looks natural enough. Perhaps I had a misunderstanding of what it would do. The color is amazingly beautiful. I will be continuing to use eSalon next month.

I’m a blonde and have tried many drugstore brands. This is the best color I’ve ever gotten out of a salon. I loved my color after the first kit, but asked for a few adjustments to get my tone a little more neutral instead of golden/yellow and it got even better. Not sure if I’ll ever spend money at a salad again.

I have dyed my hair since I was about 12. I used to be able to get away with store bought dye but after I had children my hair started graying rapidly. The store bought dyes no longer worked. I then started going to the salon but it was so expensive I barley went. Then I tried this. I will never go back to the salon for a dye job again. This is SO much cheaper, more convenient and COVERS ALL THE GRAY! It was easy to set up the subscription and it’s easy to modify your delivery dates. It was easy to consult on my color. It’s easy to apply the dye. So easy, my husband did it for me for a while. The whole process is pretty easy. Definitely give this a try.

Love the color and my hair is staying really healthy using eSalon. Only trouble is that I just received an order and was about ready to color my hair but I cannot open my color bottle so I can mix it up and apply to my hair. Hopefully when my husband comes home he can open it for me. I tried running it under hot water, pounding it with a knife and used the knife under the lid to open it but it still does not open - don't want the color to seep out.

I do love ESalon! I have some very resistant grey hair that grows fast therefore, going to the salon every 4 weeks is very expensive for me. I used to work in a hair salon so I have some experience with color application which has helped me. I do love the color match I have now but I do notice the color is quite faded after 6 weeks and gets quite brassy. Once I redo my color and do the suggested emulsify process, my color is good as new again. The kit has everything I need. I do leave my color on for 10 mins longer than the instructions. The instructions state 30 mins development time but I need 40 mins for full grey coverage. This might need to be stated on the instructions for others with resistant grey.

My stylist Jessica made a great choice for me based on my photo. My initial choice was all wrong and a day after my order I woke up thinking: NOOO! With shop bought colours I have never been really happy. They are pretty harsh on the hair. e-salon is a blessing. My hair is left in good condition, I don't get loads of hair loss, as I have done with other well known brands, and the colour doesn't fade so fast, it definitely lasts a lot longer.

Not everything you read online is true. This can't be said of esalon. Comes in a lovely personalised box. The contents is personalised to 'just me'. Easy to follow instructions, result was perfect and natural looking. Gave really good coverage. I would recommend esalon to everyone.

I found it quite a bit more work than off the self dyes. Once you've put on the first bottle of dye and waited 15mins you then put on the second bottle for 10mins. There was a lot of stuff on my hair! When it came to washing it off, I did it with my head in the bath, the chemical small was really strong. Having said all that, the end result was good coverage and my hair was very soft although a bit redder than I was expecting. As it was such a good offer, £10, I'm happy but not sure if I'd want to pay the full price, £25.95. Will see how long it takes to fade and go from there.

My first color was more brown than red. But I worked with my colorist, and she nailed it the 2nd time. I love the color. I know red is a difficult color to match and keep. I do have a lot of grays but not yet salt and pepper. I've been coloring my hair red since 2010, so I'm really not sure about how many grays I do have. So I only can judge by my roots. This product does cover the grays very well. This is a little more expensive than the OTC brands you can buy in stores, but to have a quality customized color, it's so worth it.

I was very much on the fence about ordering color online and after a couple of weeks I took the plunge and ordered. I sent 3 pictures along with my color quiz and my colorist NAILED IT! I was a little worried about seeing the word "mahogany" but this is a perfect match to the current color I was wearing.
I've used both home box color and had salon color and both were very strong smelling and left my hair dry afterward. This smell was not strong and my hair was insanely soft and shiny after. It been a month and I still don't see gray hair poking through. I have my auto-ship set for 10 weeks and feel comfortable ordering again and again.
It would be nice to get free shipping with any auto-ship and not just those over $40. I know a lot of other companies that offer that as a perk as well as the discount. I'm very picky about what hair products I use since I have naturally curly hair. You never want to anger the curl beast.

Order arrived even earlier than expected.
I finally changed my hair colour and got one more natural and similar to my roots, so hopefully I wan't see the root again when my hair regrow.
It just dind't perfectly cover some small little grey hair I have just in the forehead.
Overall I am happy with the colour and hope it will last till I'll do the roots again.
I usually did my dye at home, so for me not difference in price, on the contrary I spent even less.
But I was happy that I could costumize my new colour and gor new suggestions.
I am not sure I'll buy it for 22E now as I think this is too much considering you can easier find it in shops for less.
But it's anyway a good servise especially for does that use to do it on salons!

For years now I’ve struggled to get same color all over. I used to get a darker roots line than the rest and now I know why. Even if you color roots first and wait your natural hair is different from the remaining that was colored several times already with different hints and brands most likely when you color at home. By using the custom color for roots and different custom color for the rest you created I finally got the perfect match . I love the color and despite the fact that was looking really black when applied after all the steps you suggested and washing it ended up the perfect color I always dreamed of. Thank you !

I chose the wrong colour for myself and sent a message simply for an adjustment on the following set and was so impressed by the response. My colour was changed to one I now love and I was sent the colour for the ends free again since it was going to be different even though it was my mistake in the wrong colour selection and nothing to do with the service. Both times it was easy to follow instructions and results were great

With my first order I was not impressed at all with the gray coverage or the texture of my hair. The second order arrived damaged and I received a replacement promptly. I was still on the fence but my third application after adjustments made by my stylist blew me away. The first time I have ever colored my own hair with absolutely no brassiness, even in the bright sunshine. Perfect coverage, and it looks completely natural. My hair is also soft and shiny! So glad my stylist convinced me to keep trying!

I was devastated when my L’Oréal color (red penny) was discontinued so I decided to give esalon a try in the hopes that I could find a match. I was able, with the help of their colorists, find a perfect match and it covers resistant grays much better and generally is a more quality product. It is more strong smelling but I guess that’s why the color is holding much better. It’s a win and I’m a convert.

I seen this advertisement on a site i was on and decided to try eSalon, Ive been coloring my hair since I was 18, I used Nice and Easy 98 or 101, the reason I started is bc my natural hair color is dirty dish water blond and I hated it, well Ill be turning 55 in aug and have seen white not grey hair up front like my dad did ,well I decided to go back to my natural hair color and i took the hair quiz and they sent me exactly the color I wanted! Dark blknd with gold under tones, Im glad they sent 2 bottles, one for roots and one for the ends, my hair goes to me tail bone its that long i had to use the whole 2nd bottle! I absolutely recommend this website to anyone looking for a new hair coloring option, as for me, I'm sticking with eSalon!

I loved the customization of this product! The process was easy and understandable, even for a novice. The packaging is great... love the sticker to hang the instructions on a mirror. My only negatives are 1.) I didn’t get as much of a color change as I was hoping for.. but this may be remedied in my next order? And 2.) when you have the ends and the roots bottles you almost need three pairs of gloves, the third for the rinsing aspect at the end to keep hands clean. Overall I’m happy with the product, but am curious if I will get a better color change with my next box.
