I was skeptical; I have a good bit of gray now and I had tried boxed colors and they did not cover it properly. I was also tired of paying a high price for monthly root color application at a salon but wanted good color and good results. I decided why not at least give eSalon color a try? SO happy I did. The color is rich and coverage is great. The process is clearly spelled out and a simple thing like including two pairs of disposable gloves makes it that much easier. I had been going to a local higher-end salon due to their renown brand of color but my hair was getting very dry and the color was somewhat dull - eSalon's color is rich, there is minute multi-tones of the color which makes it look vibrant. My hair remains healthy, shiny and soft to the touch. I am very pleased.

I think it is awesome to be able to have your ideal shade of hair dye made. It sure beats standing in the hair isle at your local store going back and forth, back and forth, and a few more back and forth. You get my drift.
You can consult with a colorist, can even send the colorist pics of your hair.
Auto delivery, with the ability to skip a delivery or pick the date your next color gets sent out is great too
AND...You can change your color anytime you want.
Definitely a must try.

Being in eSalon auto ship program has been awesome for me! You can go in and change the shipping dates as often as you like, give directions each time on color mixing preference, and they respond everytime... Heard about esalon from a friend and decided to give it a go! The process was easy and I got a response from a stylist pretty quick explaining the color I chose was a few shades darker than my current color and suggested that I try a color that was only one shade darker just in case I wanted to go lighter. I took the advice and am glad I did, not because I don't like dark hair but because I ended up loving the color they sent! I've told some friends about esalon and even more after they noticed and liked my hair. So far I'm happy with this product!

I was recently complimented on my color, highlights and low lights. No one would believe that I didn't have low lights and hadn't highlighted my hair in months. Secondly, they were slow to believe I did it myself. My answer: Believe it! Do it yourself! It's easy! The color and directions are customized. The tools and products offered are professional and inexpensive. The color covers gray and lasts weeks/ months longer than store box brands. One of the best investments I've made!

This was my first DYI for hair coloring and I am very impressed! It was clean, pleasant, easy and my roots are gone! The color you sent was spot on. As I had light and dark highlights, this root touch up could address only one (dark blonde). I will still need periodic salon trips but I am very grateful to save so much money in between! I had ordered the custom hair color kit months ago but never got up the nerve to do it. Months had gone by and finally I decided to just "DO IT". I was terrified that it would be obvious that I had colored my hair. But my 19 year old looked at me when she saw me the next day and said "I don't know what you did today but you look 15 years younger". The color match to my original hair color is amazing. My hair looks healthier and has a luster to it that had been gone for years. It is an amazing product

I’ve tried many hair colors over the counter and nothing covered my gray or gave me the color that I wanted. I have a long thick hair and pay quite a bit of money to have my color done at the salon. I just couldn’t see paying that kind of money constantly to have my hair done. So I decided to try the salon and boy am I glad I did. I’m not sure why other reviews aren’t good, but I will always give five stars. It is just as easy to use as the color out of the box from the store. But the color is better, lasts longer, and completely covers my gray and is absolutely beautiful. I get compliments all the time. I don’t have a problem with losing any of my hair or any other issues that people have commented about in the past. I recommend this E-salon product to everyone! I have it auto shipped so that I am never without my color. It is affordable, easy to use and my color is beautiful and I can even change it or add highlights whenever I want.

I have fine straight blonde hair. When I use to get my hair done professionally within a couples of weeks I could see the gray! Same with Sally's hair colors and box hair color. Right about the 5-6 week, my hair starts doing it's own thing, then I know it's time for a hair color. It hinds the gray awesome!

I Love my hair color so much! My first formula was a little too dark with not enough golden tones. They lightened it slightly and added a touch more golden and now its perfect! I was worried you would be able to tell that my roots are now a different color than before, but you can't! It blended nicely and looks great!

I am so glad I didn't spend $100+ at a salon to color my hair! The kit was easy, the customer service prompt and personal (THANK YOU for being a business that personally responds to emails, it's amazing! And the shipping was so fast [although I do also live in LA so it's not too far, but still!]). It was super easy to apply and pretty fool-proof as far as missing any strands of hair goes, it totally coated my whole head. Plus I had plenty of dye left over and I have rather long hair. Also it made my hair insanely glossy and soft, which I have gotten major compliments on. I honestly don't think my hair could get shinier, it's like a commercial. I love it, thanks e-salon!

So.... I finally used the color. I think I was putting it off because I was nervous about it not turning out well. Any time I used store-bought dark blonde it ended up looking orange-y and fake, but this color is really lovely! I'm very impressed! This is really nice neutral shade that beautifully compliments my skin tone. The colorist did a great job! Now I can't wait for the highlight product to come out :D THANK YOU!

My hair started to grey in the 6th grade, my mother started coloring my hair when I was in 7th grade. As I aged I found it very difficult to cover the grey with store products. Leaving me a salon bill of over $100 every few weeks. This product has excellent coverage. I am very happy and have recommended the product to friends.

Well what can I say...my first order was lost in post but I called and a very helpful young man (English) apologies didn't note your name was on the case and ten days later my personalised colour arrived. Was unusual way of using two bottles one for roots and another for rest of hair but my hair looks great very soft and shiny (despite my curls) this is now my go to salon fir colour as many years of colouring after my natural colour was bleached by the sunshine of a few holidays I am finally back to my real colour again thank you so much for the advice and customising my colour.
